What are you backing Today? Part 2

Must be a lot of accas running at Windsor given the winners of the first 4 races.
I wonder what the placepot divi will be if the favs perform in the 5th Protektorat wins the 6th!
I have a couple of longshots running for my placepot in the 5th, hopefully they squeeze out a couple of favourites.
£63.70 placepot divi. Better than I expected

1:50 Lingfield ( The Surrey National over 3 miles and 5 furlongs )

My Silver Lining - 9/1, but she's now 5/1
Val Dancer - 10/1. Ran well to finish 3rd in the Becher Chase, and only 4 pounds higher than when winning the 2024 Welsh National.

( Aworkinprogress is currently 100/30 favourite.)

3:35 Planned Paradise. Seems like an obvious plot and the price now reflects - I got 7s, but not much, last night on the exchange.
2:25 Minella Missile. Ran in this last year off 138 after his G2 novice win - I can't believe he's as bad as 121. 15s on the exchange.
Planned Paradise stays all day but he never jumped a twig, did he.

Hiya Jay.

I was looking seriously at Val Dancer in this, seeing as he won the Welsh Nash under only 4Lbs lighter. My first thought would be that he's a Grand National horse but he'd have to be a stone better to get in. However, the Eider Chase looks like it might be a bigger target pot at 40k than this.

I've gone for Aworkinprogress with Sporting Ace and Invincable Nao as the dangers.

Also Thruthelookinglass in the 3.20

Good luck mate

Val Dancer should run well here, but I couldn't help myself, having an ew dart on Regal Blue. He has given Val Dancer a 20+ length beating + is 8lb better off. Horse is obviously a bit erratic. 2 wins + 4Ps in his last 6 outings.

If Regal Blue could reproduce his win over The Changing Man, he'd look good here but what put me off was his PU in this race previously. Stable's not exactly on fore, either, Rob.

As Outsider will testify, I've followed Whistlestoptour seemingly forever.

With the stable form dire and the horse himself having vastly underachieved, I've abandoned him today.

No prizes for predicting what happens next in the script.

I've done aworkinprogree 7/2
and Whistlestoptour 16s

last night I took 16s wst. But 20% rule 4 and he's still 16s so I lost out and didn't back AWIP which was much bigger so I missed out.it was obvious that secret j9hn wouldn't run so they ripped us off again with the rule 4.

Of course.

I've no idea how Thruthelookinglass lost that when taking it up at the last.

Wetherby's 1.20 tomorrow poses a dilemma.

Genois was a horse I backed the last day for a return to form, but he won't be available at silly prices here. Is he the type of horse you'd want to bet to land back to back wins though? Perhaps not.

At around double Genois's price, is Ned Tanner, who ran well enough the last day first time up after a wind operation, and is entitled to come on again for that run. His overall body of form is certainly more consistent, if not better than Genois.

I might even get double figure prices by tomorrow.

Fallon could pick this lot up at Sha Tin and carry them...at his best. The problem is he hasn't shown best for a while. Playing up as usual in the paddock, might have burnt himself out already (to a point).
