What are you backing Today? Part 2

Dans le vent 210c was 33s early doors which I missed and so took 12s.
I used to like this horse when it was in the 140s and with her claim its now off 120.
I know its 11 now but off that rating it should be competitive. ( I hope )

I've also done its stablemate can you call 7/1 in the 105c.
a 3rd and 2nd

Savills Hurdle - Asterion Forlonge 8/1 - has the fewest question marks (imo) regarding this test and is the best price of the main contenders.

A very quiet betting day for me. If AF wins I might put the lot on GDC if I can get even money.

Apart from that, the only other race in which I have a bet so far is the Newbury 2.20 - Inch House 13/2 and Henry's Friend 4/1. I might dabble in a reverse forecast nearer the time.

Annoyed with myself for making that bet. Thought he looked like he needed it beforehand and was readily outgunned from the turn. I allowed the fact it was a G1 to convince me it woud be fit and trying.

Inch House hampered out of it but I'm not convinced he was there to win today given the ride he was getting. Henry's Friend gets me my money back on the day. A nice plug for the Hennessy form too.

Given my disappointment with Asterion Forlonge I have to say I'm relieved not to lose on the day.

Can't lie, I love seeing GDC win, today's performance was excellent too.

Fact To File looked absolutely full of running for the majority of the race and I thought he would feature in the finish a little more, but GDC was very impressive and nice to see him bounce back after the loss last time out.

Fact To File is obviously a high quality horse, but I have ????s in my mind whether the extra 2f at Cheltenham in a potential Gold Cup, would suit him. I still would be firmly in the GDC camp.

I've taken Mystical Power at 4/1 without State Man today.

I've no idea what went wrong at Newcastle but I'm always prepared to forgive one bad run. There was little between him and Sir Gino in the betting that day and I actually backed him ante-post (25/1) for the Champion Hurdle in case he went and won. I haven't lost faith that this is a right good horse so I've gone in again at 33/1 for the Champion Hurdle. If he gets close to State Man he could halve in price without winning.

State Man is the best around bar Constitution Hill but he's only a 168-170-ish type for me. Mystical Power was a 155-160-ish novice and entitled to develop into a 165-170-ish second-season hurdler. If he can make that kind of progress he has to be taken seriously today but obviously that poor run requires forgiving and forgetting.

It's obviously a trappy race but I have a feeling that Sequestered (1.55 Leop) maybe a well- handicapped horse.
He'll go on the ground and will stay, no problem. 16/1 looks too big.
