What are you backing Today? Part 2

Reely Delightful (50/1) for Venetia Williams in the 3:15 race at Taunton. First run in a handicap and has beaten only two other horses in four completed starts. Probably wouldn't benefit from running off a lower handicap rating than 74. Could still be a three mile chaser on heavy ground and is running today for experience.

Very quiet day for me.

Fairyhouse 1.45 - The King Of Prs 13/2
Ffos Las 1.15 - Cherie d'Am 3/1

and the ew double.
Yes just a wee yankee for a bit of entertainment today.

Must Be Obeyed well backed in Fariyhouse's 1.45. I like him today and can see him running well now the moneys down.

Good luck with your two.

5.30 Wolves Buttercross Flyer is hardly a standout sexy bet but he's very overpriced in the context of this race. Some consistent figures that are up with the best of these. He's finished 2nd twice over course and distance off marks of 61 and 59 earlier this winter when ridden prominently. He's also just been beaten 4.5 lengths off 59 when uncharacteristically slowly away. One poor performance over CD when he was ridden from midfield but overall a view of that form gives him a chance. A run at Wolves over the extended mile where he led to fade to 4 lengths behind the fairly solid Overnight oats and a poor show at Newcastle lto out have resulted in his mark dropping to 51 so some 8-10lb lower than a couple of those 2nds. Doesn't look a massive amount of pace here Vant Zant who was gambled from 33/1 into 4/1 lto before taking a very keen grip and fading to nothing lto will probably make the running but under as much restraint as possible and the Flyer should at least be able to get a fairly prominent position as City Cyclone will probably be looking to get the box seat from 1. Of the opposition the two at the front of the market are obvious dangers. City Cyclone is rock solid back at 7f I don't think 7lb rise for his latest win will be enough to stop him if I'm honest. The only concern I'd have for him is the start he's in the one box the horse in stall 2 has jinked left at the start on his last 3 starts so there may be a possibility he gets knocked into the rail. Avoiding that he'll be fairly hard for my fella to beat admittedly but he's 10/11 and at the prices I'm happy to have a go. I'm less scared of the flyers stable mate Heavenly fire his performances on his last 2 starts are sound and he's a worthy 2nd fav based on that. However he's posted his 2 best all weather figures on those 2 runs and both fairly fast for the grade and his ability and he's turned out again fairly quickly under a 5lb penalty which for me is asking a lot. Also if you watch his race from last time they went batshit crazy up front and he was miles back, they might go a decent clip here but the chances he gets the race to set up like that again from the rear here are slim. That was also his first time in headgear so whether that has the same effect again is anyone's guess I also think City Cyclone is a better horse than anything he faced that day so he'd be a negative for me at the prices City Cyclone a positive but outside of him can make cases for a few but none I'd rather be with than Buttercross flyer. My only concern with him is they might just drop him in run him around to see if they can get him in a 0-50 or something next time but if they run him up with the pace I'd say he's a trier.

7.00 Wolves Nogos dream. He's not the sort I'd come down on the side of usually having been 2nd on 7 of his last 10 starts. With this sort does it matter about his mark ? Probably not its just a case of will he go past. He is down to 72 and they've slapped a 5lb claimer on, the last time he was down to this mark they put a claimer on and he was just touched off at Lingfield. The possible edge for him here today is there are 3 or 4 in here who really like to go from pillar to post a strong run 5f here might just set the race up nicely to bring his extra stamina into play. He's only ever one once in his career and that was here albeit he only just squeezed home at odds of 4/11 so can't really read too much into that. He put in a decent show off the back of a break last time and sprinters tend to always come on for the run so it may be a case with everything in his favour today its a now or never for nogo's past. I missed the best price this morning i was surprised he's been so well supported as he's not really up there on figures with some of these coupled with being a complete swine but I'm hoping the money talks.

7.30 Wolves Mister Coco Fizz, no real secret or complications here 3 runs back ran a cracker 5f at the course in a visor. Disappointing at Lingfield next time. Changed trainer to Appleby who's given him one run at Chelmsford without a visor but with the addition of a tongue tie. Back to the tapeta today, visor back on and tongue tie left in place a reproduction of his lto Wolves run would see him go close any improvement from Appleby or the tongue tie could see him in the winners enclosure. Worryingly drifted to nearly double his early odds but I've got best odds guaranteed on this one so he can go to 20's for all i care I think he has a solid chance.

Had an ew trixie on the 3.
