Marchogian (6.00K) blew a decent field away at Chester, and looks to have the speed to take thi.s.
It's probably significant that OM chooses him in preferece to other leading fancies, too.
3/1 Hill's.

I've backed just one today:

Russet Gold - 4.40 Ascot 11/1 Ew

A year ago this one was a close 3rd behind Apollo One in a Gp 3 over c/d on the soft, where he had Korker about 1L behind at level weights. Today, as a guide, he receives 5Lbs from that horse so is well treated, I think.

Last time out he went into the notebook after late work over 6f (g/sft) at Donny. It seems to me that if RG is coming to himself, he looks a very decent price today given that he's now rated 10Lbs lighter than a year ago..

Given my form, I'm not expecting much but he has to done.

Curragh 4.35 Ohailbhic - A nice break off the track after a dismal effort the last day, but if rebuilding on prior run when fifth at Cork, may be worth taking big odds about here.

On what could be tough conditions am chancing two outsiders in the big Group 1 at Newmarket each way

Cheshire Dancer @ 66-1 & Cathedral @ 25-1

Arabiah Force 4.05A
3/1 Unib,iet
Had a go on that last minute as well when he was pushing 5 on the machine but Haggas has been bad this year relatively esp on drifters and I want to get Hamish beat today. Took a nice price for a small stake as he didn't have a jockey booked when entries came out about Military Academy in the Cumberland Lodge and nice to see money for him today. Ran the fav close at Goodwood on soft ground earlier this year and I like him against a couple of old stagers who are admittedly both in good form.

Monsieur Bondy (7:45 Newcastle) @ 7/2
Lets see if our good friend Geoff Oldroyd can close the season on a high.
Stable still in good form (only three of his last sixteen runners have finished outside the first three).
