What are you backing Today? Part 2

Midmight Lion4.45Nc

Will i post tips as i have done the last couple of days ? or just one or two tips ?
I'm going to concentrate on handicaps or at least try, it's where i make the most money overall.
I don't want to be upsetting the natives as in some of the long time users in here, so anything I'm doing that's annoying ye let me know.

Its free for all to post their fancies so you arent doing anything wrong.
The only advice I would give is if you look at the other posters they are more specific with their tips and they also tend to include their reasoning for backing the horse.
That approach may/may not suit your type of betting so always best to go with what you feel is best.

2.33
Broomfield gale 0.50 pt ew 7th i thought she was closer
Painful, couldn't they have hoovered up the fog? I think he placed 5th or 6 th discussed the winner and debated backing and tipping it , no bet on myself.
7.15? Catherine Chroi and Spartan Fighter I'm leaning towards 0.50 pt ew
Anyone have any fancies in that race

3.45 Newcastle is an interesting race and one that I think will contain a number of future winners - one of the outsiders What Fools Believe interests me at huge odds, available as big as 300/1 ( small EW placed ) earlier today and now around 100's may well run better than the odds indicate, and will hopefully improve from debut - a big ask though to win.

Spartan Fighter placed i think at 25/1 when tipped
Catherine Chroi unplaced

The weather tomorrow is putting me off few of the bets that ive been lining up this week and half expecting there to be quite a few horses pulled out before the off.

One who i'd have no concerns about is Richmond lake in the 1.30 at Aintree. 2m4f around here is ideal dropped to a great mark after being tried over 3 miles a few times and doesnt really get home. Ran well for a long way first time up at that trip before fading.

Gotta be honest I'm amazed he's not favourite for this and just think he wins.

Just seen he's running tomorrow, i like him usually I'll have a proper look, i backed a few, lumped on Ian Davis pick because he knows his horses, who else should i follow on here ?

If you try following too many peoples bets you'll end up doing your own head in. The best way is to read the thoughts and selections on here and then have a look at them yourself to see what you think of them. The trouble with asking who to follow is no-one will give you a list of 5 members at risk of making other members feel like turd. Slim might give you list with just his name on it and tell you everyone knows nothing but that's just Slim.

Most of the people who post on here are decent judges but most would own up to good spells and bad spells.

I half feel like saying to you patience you must have young padawan. As you seem in a rush ? Why ? Take your time read the content, learn bits here and there and in time you'll figure out who knows there stuff. Betting is a long term game no-one here will offer a magic get rich quick scheme most have been in it and still are in it for the long haul.

I'm having a shit spell. So What ! I'm on my 3rd glass of red, with Wayne Shorter in the background. I'm on Roi Mage + Twig at 33s in the Becher. Not bothered about any other race. Life us good + as Hemmingway once wrote. Worth the fighting for.

Along with Richmond lake and Gaboriot that i mentioned on the becher thread. I'd lost a bit of confidence in going against Lulamba ( Henry VIII novice thread) in any substantial way now the ground looks to be on it's way to heavy side of soft but i still think Be aware is a bit of value so he'll go in the Lucky 15. And the anchor leg at the prices I'm giving Cracking Rhapsody a chance progressive sort looks like it's been crying out for this step up in trip and comes here over going to its beloved Kelso on Sunday. Disappointing last time at Cheltenham but according to some drunken Scotsmen outside a premier inn the horse has a tendency to get upset when it stays away overnight. Not sure it'll appreciate the ground going too soft but at the prices ill take the chance. If Whillans pulls it out Rambo T would probably be my super sub

1.30 Richmond lake (Nap)
1.50 Be Aware
2.40 Gaboriot
3.15 Cracking Rhapsody

I've been a fan of Roi mage for a long time hope it runs a blinder for you Rob and more than that just hope he comes back safe and sound. When you start quoting Hemmingway you at least know the wine is good.
