Well, that was a right old disaster. Filly certainly did not do justice to her breeding. Oh well, on to tomorrow……….:(

4.00 Sailsbury - Broadhaven Honey good speed rating but worried about outside draw . Price makes up for it 16/1 ew

Morning

5.25 Carlisle

Two catch my eye, so 1pt win on both

Auxiliary @ 11-2 [Skybet]
Zig Zag @ 8-1 [Paddy Power]

Morning

3.35 Doncaster-Rathbone

Each Way @ 10-1 [Unibet] BOG

Stable peaking after rough season and they think a lot of this colt

Al Erayg looks to have a winning opportunity in the 5:10 at Donny.

He's been gelded, changed hands, now with Tim Easterby, ran a stormer at Chester having never been in a race winning position, and last out the stalls.
Lake Volta is a decent horse, but may be in the handicappers pocket. Al Erayg should be too hot to handle though, especially on that last run. He is leniently handicapped on French form, so he'd almost be one of the bets of the season tomorrow, (that is under the assumption he will run to similar form as the last day and not bounce). I can't see why not?

He's also in the Ayr Gold Cup next Saturday, so could do with a penalty to get a run.

He'll halve in price for Ayr if he scores tomorrow, but who knows, eh.

Iwan'tn his ATR piece, Simon Rowlands makes a very good case for Indigo Balance in the Flying Childers. However, Gossamer Wings finished quite close to him in the Curragh race despite giving him a start, in what looked a warm-iup race for the Coolmore filly (returning from a 6 week break and dropping from gp2 to Lstd). If she proves anywhere as quick as she was in the Queen Mary, she ought to have the legs of the colt today.

I don't bet on the 'family' ever but might be worth a look at Late Again running at Listowel later. Price shortening up since yesterday, which means someone is confident. :)

Thanks

Going for these today

3:10 Carlisle - Fraser Island 9/4
3:55 Uttoxeter - Notnow Seamus 3/1
Good shooting AW with the skelton runner , had plenty left and stable not as surefire bet as were a month or so ago. Johnston horse was a major disappointment, maybe time come to ease off stable - famous last words

I have no idea how many times I have seen a horse look like an unbeatable monster only to look ordinary when stepped up into group company.

Lah Ti Dar could be anything. He want off at 4/6 and won like a 1/5 shot no denying that but that was against a horse rated up to 24lbs below those he meets today.

She may well win by half the track but 6/4? no thanks.

Kew Garden was most certainly not knocked about in the Great Voltiger obviously with this in mind. Sure to runa huge race.

They say there are stamina doubts facing Loxley but in France on soft ground he passed the test with flying colours.

Always up with the pace he took it up a fair way from home went clear and actually won going away right at the finish.

Loxley 8/1..should get some 10/1 later looks a very good EW bet to upset the favs

Few for today

2:30L - Hostess - 11/4. Bit surprised this has drifted this morning but I suppose she is up against the birthday boy Moore. Interests me as Hugo Palmer's fillies are never knocked around on debut and for her to finish so close in a Newmarket maiden is encouraging. Could have been one of the shitest maidens at the track this season mind but I'm willing to wager it wasn't (the 8th and 11th won next time out at 16s and 14s respectively).

5:00L - Trinitas- 10/1. Think there will be a bit more to come from this son of Nathaniel. Didn't cut much ice in maidens over 10f but I'm inclined to think he was too slow or just not forward enough. Last time at Nottingham stepped up to 2m he ran on well from an unpromising position to be beaten just over 7l.

The risk with this one is that he's still finding his level and is a project for the winter or even next year, particularly given he's yet to be gelded. Definite each eay chance though off 60.

6.30K - Dark Havana - 9/1. I think this one has been disregarded somewhat. Had to see a few quid of my cash running off 51 (54 less Clifford Lee's 3lbs claim).

The case wouldn't be the strongest mind. He does have a bit to find but I'm hoping going right handed round a bend may suit him. I would think he'd go on the track. The winner of last night's nursery was a well punted son of Havana Gold and I'm speculating we could just see a better run from this one.

7.30K - Petrastar - 5/2. Think this should be shorter on his running behind last night's facile winner Klassique. I've a feeling that wasn't the worst handicap he took apart and I'm surprised the Clive Cox inmate hasn't been more popular.

8:00K - Diva Star - 15/2. Has bottom weight again in this C5 handicap. Ran a sound race behind Exchequer over C&D last time. Might be a bit more to come and get the feeling that if this runner was from a fashionable stable she would be in here at 2/1 or 5/2.

2.40R - Schnapps - 5/1. Expecting improvement stepped up in trip. Doesn't look absolutely chucked in on the for book but has a clear chance if coming forwards.

3.10R - Caridade - 8/1. Taken by the jockey booking here and last time looked a return to form. 72 looks workable where the low 80s probably wasn't.

I'll be happy with 3 winners from this lot. Anything more will be a bonus.

Major Snugfit 150 on the machine:lol: good luck in these crap NOV and maiden races...I agree with AYR's selections at least we got half a chance
