What are you watching

Staying at my daughters next week She has Netflix. If I can work out how to use the tv I can watch American Primevil.

I've started this, it certainly isn't for the faint hearted!
Hopefully, if I can negotiate my daughter’s tv I’ll start watching it tonight. Currently watching House of the Dragon. What I like about it is that, like GOT’s there’s not a lot of use of blue/green screen etc. I always watch the special features feature that shows how they filmed everything, the locations, special effects. I’m glad that they use the same music. Even though I was bitterly disappointed by the last couple of episodes of GOT’s (I’ve never rewatched it, and I used to watch every series several times) I still, when HOTD starts, get that feeling of anticipation that I felt watching GOT’s when I thought it was the best thing I’d ever seen. Bryan Forbes filmed at a house I was living in and ever since I’ve been fascinated to see what goes on behind the scenes. Unfortunately the films budget ran out ( they hadn’t taken into account the Cornish weather) and the film was scrapped so I never got to see what the house would have looked like. I thought I might get discovered but I couldn’t even get a job making the tea.( thank goodness there are only 6 episodes of AP as I had a list of things I wanted to do whilst at my daughters: paperwork etc but I’m going to binge watch it tonight. Annoyingly only found out how to add subtitles part way through episode 2 as my hearing isn’t too good. I’m totally gripped by it although I don’t think it surpasses The English. If I could afford Netflix etc I’d never get anything done and I think I would grow roots into the sofa).
Last episode. So invested in some of these characters I’m scared to watch it. Blimey it’s good!
Finished it. Am now emotionally drained. So good…

Just started watching the new thing on Disney + “A Thousand Blows” meant to be the next Peaky Blinders ( that I never watched!) I’m on episode 2 and it’s ok.

Gave up on the other thing - even James Marsden couldn’t make it watchable!!!

It had a good write up on Must Watch. Another thing to watch when my son stays with us. I’m really into House of the Dragon and may rewatch season one. Didn’t realise there are two more seasons though. At least, unlike GOT’s I can read the book and find out what happens at the end.

I’ve heard lots of good things about it - certainly so far I quite like it.
I’ve only watched two GOT and wasn’t my cup of tea. Wouldn’t go with house of the dragon because of that really, but I might one day.
Feel like I need to give The Witcher a go because if nothing else Henry Cavill is just beautiful. I saw a clip of it the other day and it wasn’t what I expected at all, so I’m quite prepared to try it now.

I loved GOT’s till they messed up the last series. House of the Dragon isn’t as good but at least it remains true to itself. What I do like is the amount of detail that goes into each episode; the clothing, lighting, special effects etc. I watch the making of extras and then rewatch the episodes. They don’t use a lot of green screen etc. They even developed a whole language which the actors have to learn to speak. I quite like Outlander, too.

Half way through it -Great show.
I binge watched ( well, I had to because I was only at my daughters fora couple of day but I would have done anyway; I was totally immersed in it). I’m now watching 1883 but it’s so light weight in comparison. Really grateful that it was recommended on here…
