According to the forecasts for the next 8-15 days at metcheck.com, we'll have snow up our way on Christmas Day :)

Bring it on!!! :):)

As a racing fan it brings mix emotions - love to have a white Christmas but could ruin viewing on Stephens Day.

British Airways looks set to thwart what the snae dinnae. Sleet on the cards for tomorrow, as the warm-up card, as it were.

I'm off to talk very nicely to Elaine, our beautiful technician, to see if I can borrow a laptop that might pick up a local broadband signal outside of school to enable to get some of the 3/1 on offer about a White Christmas in Glasgow. The school system blocks the bookies sites.

If you have an internet account, with most firms this is automatically a phone account as well.

I just thought that by the time he'd schmoozed Elaine, bought her a coffee, pratted around bagging up the laptop, taken it surreptitiously outdoors, avoided the Head, ducked a couple of inquisitive students and tried to open it up in some form of privacy in the bike sheds, the price might've become even tighter. Jes' whuppin' out the trusty old mobi seemed a rather quicker solution, but whaddo I know about betting techniques? Nada.

I'm surprised you don't have a telephone a/c or ten, DO, with the amount of punting you seem to do.

I have lots of telephone accounts but I don't know the contact or account numbers as I haven't used them for years. And I can't use the work phone for private stuff and it costs too much to use the mobile as I'm on PAYG and use it very sparingly. (My current phone I got for Christmas with £20 'credit'. I've still got a fiver or so left in it...)

Very, very cold today and, just as I arrived at Lingfield this afternoon, a few flakes of snae fell. They didn't grow into anything more, but the course's ornamental pond was frozen solid even at 2.30 pm, and I regretted not putting on gloves. Brrrr! Don't mind it bright and sharp, but this was grey and ch-ch-ch-chilly.

Not sure about snow but were are forecast a freezing weekend - nice to have no rain for a change but hope it does not interfere with the racing over Christmas.

The South-East of England is in for a blast of sleet and snow, inc. Friday, with gales blowing the snow into drifts. Naturally, with only the past year to prepare, the Highways Agency has announced with pride that it's unsure it has enough salt for the roads. This could have a nasty effect on getting horses to the meetings, if it doesn't actually stop some weekend meetings stone dead anyway.

Been snowing here off and on since about 11am.

Metcheck's forecasts for next week have changed. They're not foecasting as many days' snow as a few days ago but still forecasting snow for Christmas day.
