The old and senile
20mph tourists in Cornwall in the summer grrrr
Caravans
Cyclists
Tailgaters
Coach and bus drivers
Tractors
Gormless people walking in the middle of the road

Nothing wrong with students (Uni students anyway!) although when I choose to drive into campus for an early lecture I have to stop at various zebra crossings for ages while they stream across....

Surely they're worse on single carriageways when you can't get past them? Particularly on some sections of the A303 on the Wincanton, Taunton, Exeter, Newton Abbot run.

Tractors - excellent - damn farmers

It is, I believe, illegal for any slow-moving vehicle to build up a queue of traffic in excess of 20 vehicles and the driver has a duty to pull in to allow vehicles to pass. The only exception being if there is no safe pull in to allow this.

So you are quite entitled to take the number of any offending vehicle and report them!!

I would vote for the sad gits who drive along in the middle lane of the motorway at 50mph and simply refuse to pull into the inside lane, no matter how clear the road is. These tossers would be closely followed by the absolute %*$*s who think that if you have left a gap of more than 5 yards between you and the car ahead they have the right to try and jump into that gap.

I've gone for cyclists because those round here refuse to light up their bikes at night, won't wear reflective bands, hog the road, don't indicate

Kri, i seem to remember bellowing out of my window for you indicate when following you around brighton!!

Ah, well, here's another to add to the list - self-righteous idiots who drive at 45 mph on nice, safe, 60 mph limit A-roads, continue at exactly the same speed through 30 mph villages, suburbs etc. and then have the cheek to come out with gems like "I'm a very safe driver - I never drive fast .. " h:)

Oh, yes - and the roundabout nitwits get to me, to ...

Young men in company cars on their mobile phones in their BMWs on your side of the road !

Ovverbruv, I don't normally indicate when I'm going straight ahead.... :brows: In truth, that junction causes so many problems when the person in the left lane indicates to go right, but remains in the left lane (going straight ahead) - the drivers in the right lane get all nervous, and start stopping to let you in - which is what I don't want to do. Then you get some ditz blasting you because you haven't gone into the right-hand lane. Sometimes you just can't win.

There have certainly been journeys when I know that I have driven below par - however, that still means I'm streets ahead of the rest of you.... ! :P

Not when you only ever seem to encounter them just over a blind summit on a ridiculously busy stretch of dual carriageway so you're practically blinded by brake lights coming on and then headlights closing in quickly behind you. Its a wonderful stretch of road, the the A74 Cumberland Gap.

Women talking on their mobile phones whilst driving, with children in the back of their "people-carriers".
Nevermind that - women who are driving with their kids in the car & paying more attention to talking to their kids than their driving, even turning around in their seat to talk/minister to them! The ROAD, love, keep your eyes on the poxy ROAD!!!! :angy: :angy: :angy:

(not to mention, the accelarator's on the right, love, try using it!!!!)

Craig - I rarely find wimmin in the outside lane going more than 95mph, to be honest. We all got stuck behind some berk whose dinky toy couldn't raise a gallop the other day, and would the bastad pull over? Would he heck! We probably crocodiled for two miles behind him, unable to undertake because of the idiots hogging the middle lane at 70.
But if a women (or a man) is doing 95 in the outside lane and a person is behind them they rarely move over, they are the people that bug me, drop in to the 2nd lane and let the person go past.

I always move into the centre lane if someone wants to go faster than me - that is, if I can find a way in past the bastads resolutely staring ahead, doing 69.5 mph, with bumper stickers saying 'kill your speed'... :angy:

Anyone ever got stuck behind a cavalcade of migrating kntravelling knpeople on a bank holiday weekend?
I had that problem last Boxing Day. Worst thing was they were in 3 pony and traps and going around a busy 3 lane rounndabout.

Yes, I have - a few years back a bunch of traditional Romanys were on the move from Hungerford on the road to Wantage, that goes up to the M4 roundabout. There were several horses & caravans, people on foot or horseback which trailed back for a long way and it was nigh-on impossible to pass them. It held up all the traffic for a few miles but it was such an interesting & pretty sight that it wasn't that bad really!

Colin, chatting on a mobile phone may be illegal but I would venture that so is turning around to face your kids whilst driving - I reckon if a crash were to occur the driver could be had up for careless driving at least. Personally I can't recal being held up by a mother with a car full of kids, chatting in her phone, but on countless occasions I have been held up by a woman in the same instance turning around to talk to, or minister to, her kids.

Under the instruction of a truck driver ;-

The most important things we have in this country are trucks yet nobody gives it a second's thought.

Whoever votes for truck drivers is a dick because that very computer they used to vote was once on the back of a truck.
