Will pay the heating bill thread

You sure the whole village hasnt tapped into your supply ?
Laugh away but that's what my landlord did to me in Blewbury! Had their lads accommodation nicely tapping into my supply and yet she was still charging them £17/week for a single room with one Economy 7 heater. My bill was through the roof and I had to go on a payment plan to be able to pay it off - until an electriciy guy came to fix something at the property and mentioned that my supply was also running "my" staff accommodation.....

Yeah one of the many "kindly" things they did for me!

You've had rougher justice than Rubin Carter in your time Jinny. Hopefully you'll lassoo yourself a nice rich fella soon and spend the rest of your days in luxury like Pawras with his heated floors and all that.

ha no heated floors, the mrs has it enough like an oven at times !

I know someone who makes a lot of money installing those, hadn't realised how popular they are

The wicked witch of Blewbury strikes again. I’ll just have to go and kick her door in for old times sake.

Ian Davies in his living room if the cold snap continues , trying to reach his meal deal sandwich...

£45 a month for gas and electricity chez moi and has been for years - I've even tried negotiating on the standing charge (which I deeply resent) and dared and double dared the mofos to cut me off: "Who who needs your heating if they own a f*****g COAT?"

The second could have been on his quarters at any point on the last circuit including a glaring gap to go up the inside down the back straight. Just an absolutely atrocious tactical ride.

Yeah they seemed too content to let it keep the lead and be a bit too far ahead, perhaps they thought it would run out of puff in the last couple of furlongs, but at that pace no wonder it had plenty left in the tank

There is no other way to put this: it was an atrocious ride. The favourite missed the kick and he turned down the soft lead, trying to be smart by slowing it down. He then passed up countless opportunities to take the lead at any stage and instead let it turn into a sprint. I haven’t been this annoyed by a ride in a long time.

can never account in advance for bad positioning and gammy rides

Oh well, no financial return from the 4.15 at Wolverhampton but an entertaining appraisal of the forum members energy bills.
I am now looking forward to tomorrow’s bet and a discussion on council tax.
I was hoping for water bills personally, but each to their own, I guess - we're a broad church here at "Talking Tightarses."

Mine is £38. Then again, since retirement 11 months ago. I live in Brighton 2 weeks a month, + the other 2 with the Mrs in Leeds 🤣
