My Dad took me to an Ashton United match once - they beat Horwich RMI three-two at home in a League game in the 1970s.

Decent crowd, entertaining game as I recall.

Another winning day - system bet delivered and Found A Fifty, Saint Segal plus a last-minute value bet on King Of Answers kept the head above water there too - and another winning week.

ROI now 6% on the year, more the double what it was a month or two ago, and annual profit now 80% of the 2024 number with 24 days to go.

On the downside, this was my blandest lasagne in ages, maybe ever.

I might spice it up tomorrow with some chilli powder, or paprika, or Worcester sauce - or all three!

Great advice - I would go and buy some tomorrow but for the fact that, immediately after my last posting, I had one of my many "let's just DO IT" moments and a just poured heaped teaspoons of hot chilli powder and paprika then added lashings of Worcester sauce to the pan containing the rest of the lasagne sauce!

I've given it a good stir, now left it to marinade overnight in the fridge and when I have Round Two tomorrow I'll see if it makes a difference.

But Cumin is very much on the list now going forwards - thank you!

I batch cook the sauce, let it cool down and marinade overnight, then extract a portion and, for lasagne, have layers of lasagne sheets, sauce and cheese, then heat up the whole thing and eat it, sometimes with a garlic baguette on the side.

It usually works out fine - this one is just a touch on the bland side, so I've converted the sauce to my chilli mince recipe.
