Another Newbie

That is another concern. What if the syndicate members do not know the truth...

I would not want to be associated with that.

And yes, lay betting is not for everyone.
It can be very painful if it goes wrong.

I have been down as far as -2000 on a day and then recovered.

It has been steady for a while, but that does not mean I will not see a loss again at some point. Ridiculous to think I can avoid it.

Races on Thursday 25th September 2025 - First 3 picks

14:08 hrs @ Pontefract- I am laying = Masterclass

14:33 hrs @ Perth - I am laying = Frisby

15:00 hrs @ Newmarket- I am laying = Lady Roxby

Caveats =

I Ignore prices the day before, they frequently change and are often misleading.

I am only interested in horses that I believe cannot win.
I often drop a horse from the list on the day, if the race is altered in any way;

A stronger horse becomes a non runner on the day

Rain does not prevent the race, but is unfavourable to stronger horses

The jockey is changed on a stronger horse

Worst scenario = Several horses become non runners

Finally, I always stop when I have achieved even a penny over my desired target, or if any of the above affects the remaining choices, whichever comes first.

Oh and ....

This is not a recommendation, I am just sharing my own opinion, not suggesting anyone else act on it.

14:08 hrs @ Pontefract- I am laying = Masterclass + 250

14:33 hrs @ Perth - I am laying = Frisby + 250

15:00 hrs @ Newmarket- I am laying = Lady Roxby + 250

250 + 250 + 250 =750

I am done for the day, sort of :)
Have fun one and all.

I am going to head out to enjoy an IPA later :)

Aussie races

100 + 100 + 100 =300

UK / Ireland

250 + 250 + 250 =750

And I will, thanks to @PlaceBacker leave a £50 each way bet on Scarboroughwarning

So either I finish the day with 1k or if @PlaceBacker and my analysis are correct (Remember, I am not great at backing), I make either 62.50 extra or 562.50 extra if it wins
