TV coverage

Wonder if Clare had a say in the decision.

Maybe it's a dip of the toe in the water to see what kind of viewing figures they get in order to gauge the wisdom of their aggressive apathy to racing.

Matt Chapman is making a total fanny of himself today.

Insulting towards AOB in his interview and trying to be clever in his dealings with the owner of Sweet William but ducking away from any comeback from her.

Maybe the heat is getting to him. Are the powers that be at ITV Racing afraid to chin him for his behaviour?

Matt Chapman is making a total fanny of himself today.

We're less than 10 minutes into the morning programme and the fanny is at it again, calling the Stewards' Cup non-runner Ferrous "Fe-roos".

Words fail me...

Edit - Oh, and he's just referred to Sumo Sam as "he". In the Lillie Langtry. (What is this, the Olympics??)

Well never ever thought I’d say this but Rishi is excellent on the US coverage I’m getting via Betfair. Incredibly confident and knowledgeable. Like he’s really come of age. 👏

Just saw the BBC news reporting the deaths of 3 horses at Cheltenham -I thought the tone was one of moral superiority.
I never watched the BBC news but I just knew they would do that. They are absolute b&stards doing that in the last few years. I can say though that going back through the years since they lost Cheltenham they sort of celebrate the deaths of horses because they no longer cover it

I only caught the last few races today but it broke my heart seeing the horse deaths, everyone associated with racing will have been broken hearted this afternoon.... yet the BBC seem to get a kick out of saying... ooh look why we stopped covering it. The lying arseholes. I am not a BBC basher but I know that since they lost the coverage they seem to rejoice in trying to trash the sport. Sh&tbags

I do tend to listen to MF (just to annoy you) but APMcC often talks shite, as he did about Martator after the race.

The world and its auntie and uncle knew Marator was a massive improver yet he seemed genuinely shocked.

McCoy is just awful..he permanently sounds like he doesn’t want to be there and it’s under sufference. Ruby is far superior.

I thought RTE was different class after the John Durkan today. Jimmy Mangan -the most unpretentious man in Ireland saying he would like to train a winner at Cheltenham -his daughter Jane saying you nearly did Dad with Ruby doubled up laughing in the background.
They were all loving a great race -Big difference from Ed Chamberlain apologising for horses being killed.

You know with Ruby that he actually enjoys offering up the punditry, pre or post. He has never lost his love for the game, despite being a hardened jockey for over 20 years. You look at AP, and you get the impression that he offers up punditry because he has to - he doesn’t enjoy it - and he’s fallen out of love with the gave. Totally understandable, of course.
