Aftertiming thread

As you all know I am the ultimate after timer which is why I set up this thread. But I did manage to get a four timer up today (already mentioned elsewhere but it has to go on here too!) which is unheard of for me! (Especially as I have been woefully out of form and stomping around like a bear with a sore head)
Only 50p but it all adds up.
Saint Anapolino
Rubaud
Tripoli Flyer
Our Boy Stan
Last two were backed individually as well.

Great to see good old Sam Brown bolting up at Newbury. Even better that I had 11/2 against an SP of 7/2 😁

When he drifted back a bit down the back I thought he’d be vulnerable to younger legs but a great ride from young Chad Bament

Chad Bament one to note?

It pales into insignificance to DOs accomplishments but I actually managed to go through the card today - far cry from my one winner yesterday.

Did you not at least try the placepot, simmo?

I did one yesterday for the first time in ages. Dancing City beat me for it but it wasn't a big dividend, just under £600.

I was just telling Mrs O I had a string of second places today and was unlucky. I then decided to check my accounts and had forgotten I'd put EW multiples on some of them and ended up with a very healthy return to put me even further in front.

I've told Mrs O I'll book us a nice quiet corner table for Saturday evening.

I hope she likes snooker.

Hooray for me 😀

Jump Allen rescues something on the day. Not enough to cover previous losses but nice to end the day with a winner. He must have had plenty in hand to win after nearly running out and wandering up the run in

Cliff horse Our Champ goes in at 8/1 (I got 9s) 😃
I nearly didn’t back him today as he was 11/2 last night which I thought was a rancid price and was busy this morning but saw 9s at about 1.20

Okavango Delta 2 Worcester just now. My heart horse (along with Wise Eagle because he was so sweet and cuddly when I met him when Rose Dobbin trained him…something I certainly wouldn’t attempt to do with Wise Eagle). Have been really worried about him as he hasn’t raced for quite a while and finished well down the field in his last race. Was going to contact the stable to see if he was ok but spotted that he was down to run at Worcester, which is one hell of a journey from his home in the borders. Not sure if Ryan is down to ride any other horses there today but he’s also had one hell of a journey. Good for his trainer, too, who had a horrendous accident last year. Later today I’m backing Adam Nicols runners; he has an amazing strike rate at the moment although I’m not sure if that will get the monkey that is Foshan into the winners enclosure. I have a soft spot for him, too, because when he was actually running a fine race last year he was brought down.
