2-y-o racing 2020 (inc. First Season Sires)

Going back to the Dewhurst, interesting that the first three home filled the first three places in the National Stakes at the Curragh last month but in a slightly different order. Suggests that these are the three best colts around at the moment. Will they all winter well and which one will improve the most?

Reckon Wembley was finishing best in the National, and also got himself in a hole yesterday.
That he was RM's choice gives a big clue to the perceived pecking order, imo.

This compares with the 2yo table

Kodiac 50 wins
Mehmas 48 wins
Galileo 29 wins
Dark Angel 26
Zoffany 26
Showcasing 25
Dandy Man 20
Kodi Bear 19
Dubawi 19
Kingman 17

Mehmas has surpassed Ifraaj's record of most first crop winners, 38 and counting.
Not bad for a compressed season with only one winner from his first twenty or so runners.( two winners by end of June according to this thread )
My man was on the money last February ; pity he has trouble getting rides at the moment.

Just a few days of the turf season to go so here are the scores

Mehmas 51 WINS from 35 Winners and from 84 Runners
Kodi Bear 20 from 14 and from 43
New Bay 17 from 11 from 22
Adaay 17 from 13 from 49
Belardo 14 from 8 from 34
Twilight Son 13 from 13 from 60
Pride of Dubai 12 from 8 from 25
Territories 11 from 10 from 34
Bobby's Kitten 11 from 6 from 24

As regards Leading 2yo Sires Mehmas (51 wins) has just gone one up on Kodiac (50). Mehmas has had 84 runners but Kodiac has had 100. Third in the table is Galileo who has had 32 wins from 46 runners.
Impressively Mehmas's 2yo prize money exceeds Galileo's. The stallion tab for Galileo's 46 runners was perhaps 15 times the size of Mehmas's 84.
