Obviously 2yo races are still going on so these comments take this into account. One sire who has a significant pan-European level of success is Adaay. He is a son of Kodiac from a female line that goes back to the Royal 1000 Guineas 3rd Joking Apart. Surprisingly he was only a decent 2yo but a much better 3yo winning the Hungerford and Sandy Lane Stakes. While in the UK he has had a good first crop, in European terms he comes second to Mehmas. Fellow son of Kodiac Kodi Bear filled and fills a similar position behind Mehmas if you look at the GB/Ire figures. These two promising sons of Kodiac are joined by bigger hitter Hello Youmzain next year. It looks as if Kodiac could also be a decent sire of sires.
