Time out to make an apology and explain why this thread has just become a first season sire thread.

As you can see by the title of the thread it was my intention for it to be much more than it has become.

My good intentions proved to be over-ambitious. As can be seen from my posts in early June I did make an attempt to review the 2-y-o races, it was a short-lived attempt I'm afraid. I soon realised I didn't have the enthusiasm to watch the replays of 2-y-o races or the stamina.

I am disappointed that I wasn't able to fulfil my intentions.

I will keep on with the FSS and I can only apologise to those who expected a bit more.

MEHMAS looks as if he will take the title this year just by sheer numbers.

By coming wide around the bend into the straight Fourhometwo did it very much the hard way to win at Galway. It kept him out of trouble, but was a path Shane Kelly would not have taken without being confident he was on the best horse in the race.

Grey, my "scruffy" comment was in no way a comment on Fourhometwo's performance, it was in reference to the poor return on the part of the FSS runners.
