England -£13.96

Wales -£15.06

Right I see some winners at Galway in the first so I'll update in a mo

Six out of six winning favourites for Tanlic and the latest, a 9-2 winner, was NAPPED by archie as well for Scotland who now lead the competition Not to be outdone the horse carried Maruco's NAP for Wales and DanB88 also selected it. Who knows if it was Dan's nap as he didn't nominate one at Galway. Wales overtake England into third place.

Scotland +£17.44

Ireland +£9.62

Wales -£7.56

England -£15.96

Geezer, where is Tanlics post with six favourites in because I can't see it?

Despite posting that he wanted to play for Scotland he hasn't posted any selections all week even though he has been online. The rules of the competition are that players who do not post a selection have a bet on the favourite in the first three races with their NAP on the first race.

It's far from satisfactory but I can't change a rule in mid competition. I did consider a rule calling selections losing ones in that scenario but that penalises the rest of the team who make an effort to play every day. I also considered reverting to the horse with the highest racecard number. It may well be that Tanlic might have selected a lot of the horses anyway, or it might just be a "Freak Year"

I don't know what the answer is, but I don't think I would accept an entry from Tanlic next time, if there is a next time.

In general terms fewer players play the League Of Neightions each year, two years ago was approaching 48 I think, last year was 32, this year 16, one of whom didn't show up. I may run it as an individual competition in future but that's just me thinking aloud so to speak.

I understand Geezer, thanks for your effort with this compo, appreciated by all I'm sure.

I'm just grateful I napped one at Galway. The picture of DG in his leather gear has been troubling me all afternoon!

Last winner of the day completes a treble for jinnyj at Galway

Wales had the lead after Day One, Ireland after days two and three and tonight Scotland have the lead so will it be England tomorrow ? Well they'll have to go some but not impossible I guess.
