2021 2yos including Colin's First Season Sires

Saturday: 3 FSS winners

System (Hannon) by Galileo Gold at Newmarket
Orazia (Hills) by Caravaggio at Windsor
Guest List (Ryan) by Ardad at Chester

Irish Field table for European First Season Sires list (Prizemoney)
1 Caravaggio
2 Profiyable
3 Ardad
4 Cotai Glory
5 Birchwood
6 Recorder

This list is over a week out of date but Recorder is a Galileo- Memory stallion bred by Queen Elizabeth.
He had no winner at this stage but a handful of placed runners picked up decent place money to include him on the list; he stands in France.
He won the Acomb Stakes in York at two when William Haggas trained him; cannot say I remembered him

Been watching Recorder since this. Looking at the French lists I noticed on prize-money he was second despite again being winnerless. Then yesterday he had his first winner in Lyon.

Has filly Touching My Dream (debutant) in the opener over 1200m at Senonnes-Pouance today (3.45). A very modest-looking contest against 6 others. Ground set to be very soft, and Recorder won his maiden on soft at Newmarket. Available at 4/1.

Monday Nottingham:
Chingam (Cox) gets another one for Cotai Glory

Ardad has gone quiet and not had a winner for 9 days

Wednesday:
Catterick, Highland Premiere (Highland Reel) for Johnston
And as edgt said (above) Arboy Will for Bridger

both Nursery winners

At Yarmouth

Romantic Time by Time Test for William Stone. I make that his first winner

Thursday: A few winners

Doncaster; Miss Calculation (Profitable) for Fahey
Newbury: The Wizard of Eye (Galileo Gold) for J S Moore
Carlisle; Nurseclaire (Ribchester) for Fahey

Despite an abundance of 2yo races over Friday and Saturday there was only one FSS winner.

At Chester on Saturday Devious Angel (Dascombe) was another winner for Cotai Glory

Tuesday
Bath: Tardis (Bell) well named winner for Time Test
Beverley: La Feile (Fahey) for Aclaim; Clodovea (T Easterby) for Mondialiste and I think that's a first winner for this sire.

Wrong there about Mondialiste, that was his second.

Cotai Glory draws upsides today (Wednesday) with the victory of Pearl Glory (Phillippart de Foy: that's a first for me) at Longchamp, sorry that's rubbish, at Lingfield.

One interesting thing at the moment is how few Ardads are running. His wins to runners ratio is far better than Cotai Glory's.

Friday: a couple of winners for FSS

Hamilton: Pockett Rockett (Ryan) takes Cotai Glory ahead I think
Haydock : Just a Claim (Fell) for Aclaim

Yesterday the Queen had a 2yo double at Newbury. Both looked useful but Reach for the Moon particularly so. Gosden Sr. says the Solario is a likely target.
