Aintree

Solwhit
very good run today (163+) in my figs
he was a 166 at his best in the past

what is surprsing for me is not the up in trip , it is that he is running so well after an injury on good ground , when he was healthy he was a soft ground horse.

Good horse but miles behind Big bucks, Limestone Lad, Baracouda or Iris Gift

he would have no chance against Mighty Man at Aintree either

Too early to say, suny, given Solwhit wasn't exactly stretched to win again today, and clearly remains unexposed at the trip.

Agree about the injury - Byrnes has worked wonder to get him back at this level of form. He is also less ground-dependent than many assume, and has plenty of top-class form on quicker ground - though agree is ideally suited by softer.

Think Geraghty was tikng the **** there. Literally looked as though he schooled Tistory, not moving a muscle once.

He gave the horse every chance to pick up and he never.

They expected more but he was clearly going to be out of the first 3 and from that point what could he possibly hope to gain by giving him a hard time of it?

He ran a perfectly good race considering he's been off for almost a year and looks like one to follow over hurdles next season

Well I might have to watch it back again Tanlic, but my first impression was he never asked the horse for an effort once. That was after cruising to just about lead 2 furlongs out. Ok, if he had asked for an effort and got no response, fair enough, but he never asked for one.

Hi,
A quick query if I may. ..........

For betting purposes, who was the "Top Jockey" at this years Aintree Festival, please?

I have searched the usual resources to no avail.
Thanks in advance for any assistance. :)
