Aintree

I think I already said that Granger......are you on the sauce? :D

Tistory 6/1 down to 3/1 in a place.for the bumper tomorrow.....;)Said enough about him already, I just hope he is as good as they say

Somewhat underwhelmed by the undercard on Saturday. The growing impact of Cheltenham on the end of season perhaps.
Anyway Attaglance is a better hurdler than chaser, will like this ground better than anything he's seen since winning here last year and despite being higher rated will carry less weight this time round. 36's on the machine at time of posting Ladbrokes are 12's. Normally this would cause me concern but on Friday I got 30's on Trio D'Alene when SP was around 14's. In the following race I'm backing Opening Batsman on the basis that most of the others don't have any appeal and hopefully Battle Group will not be a nemesis twice in one meeting.

I'd take him on again - on the premise that his pace will be less use to him on this track than it was at Cheltenham.
I've always thought people underestimate how hard it is to catch up at Aintree if you get behind. Baily Green looks the obvious one based on his 2nd in the Arkle but I am not convinced he's as good as his form with Simonsig would suggest. I'm giving Overturn another chance.

Seems like our Barry is against running Sprinter Sacre in the King George next season as he feels 2m4f is as far as he wants to go at this time :( At least that's Nicky's side of the story but then he also said he wouldn't send him over 2m4f but it keeps the media of his back to say these things.......Nicky says a lot of things and then changes his mind but half the time he hasn't really changed his mind its just that things have changed since he said what he said originally and it suits him better to change his mind. Confusing isn't it?

He wont make any decision until all the cards are on the table. He has Finian's Rainbow Long Run and Bobsworth who could all run in the King George. My bet is if something went a miss with them he'd find an excuse like he's much more settled now and run Sprinter. William Hill 6/4 don't seem as convinced as Paddy Power 4/1 that Nicky is above board

Tistory is being backed off the boards from 6/1 down to as low as 2/1. Just because he finished upsides a certain SS in a gallop the other day doesn't mean he'll do it on the race course but there's obviously mega confidence behind him

Overturn looks worth another chance as I have said.

They might end up calling this the Walsh Grand national if Kate Walsh Ruby and AP come to the last and end up fighting out the finish.

Dodging Bullets will be a different ball game in this class, be much more at home and could get Ruby off to a flyer.

I have never been keen on Grand Crus but Martin Pipe told a friend of mines to back him at Aintree, so why the hell not? I couldn't pick the winner myself anyway.

Battle Group switches to fences but it might now make any difference to how well in he might be. He was very impressive the other day and could go in again.

Overturn's a pace horse, who relies on his gait to burn others off. Like many of his ilk, he stays further, and his sharp track record is relatively poor. Over fences, it's likely to be accentuated
Sprinter Sacre, conversely, is a speed horse, and though he won well yesterday, he had ground, track, and lack of early pace all in his favour.. As with most who rely on a change of gear, he'll have his limitations, distance-wise.
Stick with me, bub, and save your money.
