Bank or Tank?

Only if you've selected the extended placed horses. I've not backed a horse simply on value unless I think it can out perform it's odds. Form vs. Betting formulas.

Wrong on so many levels. I don't even watch races any more. if you understand markets you can cream this game.

You seriously don't even watch ? Bloody hell slim

Not exactly true. I don't do any research or form study on bad racing. I just don't care and there is so much dross on midweek. I don't watch the racing on the screens in front of me every day. After work I usually can't name one horse that won that day unless I was in charge of the hedging.

I did comment to someone after I saw the Youtube footage of Flaghips Uberalles win in the Victor Chandler chase that it reminded me of a time when I got excited about racing. It rarely happens these day.

The last races I remember enjoying without a bet were Sizing Europe's Arkle and Binocular's champion hurdle.

You can see too much of it I believe. Good friend of mine had a press pass and went 5 times a week for years and has suddenly knocked it on the head. Some here will know him. Surprised us a lot mind

But surely the understanding is to know the form/edge and recognize it.? My portfolio of selections will turn a profit -unless they don't place or even better win. Like I've alluded to , I got lucky and won a fair amount using the same methodology.

I rarely bet antepost these day but normally have 1 or 2 hanging around for the festival if they get there. When Cheltenham arrives then I do get involved. Normally go for big wins, so I tend to go for win double, win or e/w treble or 4 race win or e/w acca. Obviously lessens your chances doing multiples but 1 win pays your way and some.
Outside of Cheltenham I bet selectively and very rarely, so high grade is generally where I tend to go. Had a bet last weekend, that will be it until Cheltenham.

The key is as Take That would say 'have a little patience'.

Form edge or luck or the ability to recognise either....most bets don't turn a profit unless they come up.

You stated today that TTT was in 10 of your 30 e/w multiples...sounds to me like you rely a lot on luck....bet you play roulette.

TTT would have placed -we will never know, but as my bet is void in that race (1of 5,6,7 or 8 selections in e/w multis it will still double up the return. I'm happy enough with that.

Got even money for your non runner then did you...

Powder firmly dry up to now, don't have the fancies going into the meeting as with previous years.

Go onto bet wizard ,select Goliath bet enter 0.03 stake e/w @ 5/1(already displayed) change win to loser on 1 price and view returns. Then change to void and the return is doubled. N/R is better than a loser in multis.

Good Luck Marble, bide your time as there's still terrific value to be had in some of the races -even the Graded with the top 3 getting all the attention.I couldn't be more confident this year.Good Luck .If there's one thing I know. It's that I know everything I need to know.

We've all been there. That's one reason not to much too much onus on certain times of year, just put your money in good all year round. I went skint three times last year.

It's a bit like people I know who chose to study English at college because they enjoyed reading and found it killed their enjoyment of literature for some time afterwards.
