Saturday Night by Whigfield (a very good group), performed at the San Siro stadium in Barcelona.
Do you mean the Nou Camp HT?

The San Siro is in Milan

I saw Kasabian in December, and thought they were excellent live. But nothing compares to Rolling Stones live. Midnight Rambler is there finest hour.

I've always wondered how a small town in the north east of England attracts all the worlds best performers.

Hendrix-IoW 1970-Purple Haze
ELP-IoW 1970 - America
Santana- South of France early 70's- Samba pa ti

Sonny Rollins, born 1930, came to Brussels two years ago. I thought it might be a cosy nostalgia fest but not at all. It was hard edged and high tempo, and very demanding both technically and physically. He had an excellent young band with him and they all gave it a real blast.

Bob Dylan is another (getting) oldie who continues to be creative.

The best live recording I know of, though, is Van Morrison's Too Late To Stop Now with the Caledonian Soul Orchestra. Great music beautifully produced.

Radiohead at Glastonbury in 1997. Other fantastic live performers are Tricky, Orbital and The Flaming Lips.

Elton John ~ Westminster Abbey 1997
Did he do the long version of "Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting"?
No, but The Bitch is Back went down a storm on the front row.

TOM JONES was as good live as he was recorded, we appeared with him about 4 times on the same venue, before he got famous in different clubs through out the valleys.

I actually saw him live in the ST DAVIDS HALL in KAIRDIFF 15yrs ago and again the guy was brilliant and had not lost anything either ...........

Vince Hill WAS VERY GOOD TOO, SAW HIM AT BUTLINS IN MINEHEAD IN THE LATE 70'S or Early 80's..........

Ian Drury and the Blockheads, Castlebar festival 1981. (The same weekend Botham hit 149 against the Aussies at Headingley)

Merlin, why do you call it Kairdiff?
PEE.... if you were listening to some folks down here this is how they say it, its an accent all by its self if you heard a guy called FRANK HENNESEY singer song writer disc jockey he talks KAIRDIFF.............. :suspect: on a par with lets say SCOUSE PEOPLE its English but an accent that is harsh and comes over as such........... or a BRUMMIE some of their accents are harsh as well with the accent over pronounced.............

Ardross he went through a very good repertoire and was v-good turn.............

Best I have seen in person:

Get Off My Cloud and Brown Sugar by the Stones
Highway 61 by Bob
Embrace were very very good live in Thetford Forest last year, Delays are great live also
The Bravery are hugely impressive live

Live tracks I've heard and loved....

Deadhead by the 'Phonics
Various Killers tracks
But most of all Muse....oh to see them live....must happen before I shuffle off the mortal coil or I shall haunt Matt Bellamy and hide his guitars. So there.

INXS on Later With Jools Holland singing Never Tear Us Apart. Actually it was just Michael singing with Jools on the piano. It was beautiful. I used to have it on video tape somewhere but we've no video recorder anymore and out of the boxes of tapes we've got I wouldn't even know where to start looking. I'd love to see it again though
OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! *Griffin hyperventilates* OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! I found it on Youtube! The quality is a bit pants but OH MY GOD! Not Jools on piano, I was mistaken, but it was 13 years ago so I'm forgiven. Suicide Blond is there too. Michael was the sexiest man ever to walk this earth :luv:

Sex On Legs!
Christ, that was good!! Not quite as big a fan as Griffin but he could sing...

I had the opportunity in 2004 to see Cyndi Lauper live in concert at the State Theatre here in Sydney. Her rendition of True Colours with a guitar and violin was just one of the most soulful and moving performances I have ever seen by an artist. She also felt the song, because of how much it actually did mean to her, and by the end tears were rolling down her face. It was a touching tribute to her best friend whom she lost many years ago. There was not one dry eye after that performance in the Theatre.

I am not really into House and Electronic music, but I went to SummerFieldDayze when I was on holidays in QLD back in January. Martin Solveig and Bob Sinclar were there (and fantastic to say the very least). However it was the German DJ, Tocadisco which had everyone talking. I did not see a single DJ that actually enjoyed themselves as much, and dancing to their own music asides from him.
