Presumably other bookies used to lay you bets as well before deciding they'd had enough? If this lot are already restricting you after a few days how much longer do you think it might be before they do the same? It seems their business model can only work by catering for mug punters who want to bet to high stakes.

It will be fascinating to find out. If I can turn over £50k with them I'd expect to win around 7-8%

Thinking about it, it may just be the races I'm betting in. It's absolutley fantastic being able to get on at market price for a modest amount on all the selections I want. I'm going to ask customer service why I don't have the e/w option though.

Looks like they're going the way of the others in this ilk (Betbrokers, Barclay Betting, Platinum etc) in that they're guaranteeing most punters the whole lot without knowing if they can get it off - if you're using a service like this they should be asking "why pay 3% if they can get on normally?".

As for Grey's last point - that's spot on, though the likes of VC, Hills, Ladbrokes, Coral etc. will all have special departments dedicated to keeping hold of such clients hence the trips to football matches, the Olympics, World Cup, boxes at Ascot/Cheltenham and the like to keep them betting with them.

Good point Martin but the opposite could slso be true. If they're model is to only lay what they can get away than they'll survive. I certainly hope they do!

It's growing a bit wedgy; time to consider taking a percent out, imo.
(Do it now, and you might -- just might -- get it in time for the Christmas spending). :ninja:

I'm taking your subtle hints and whipping out 2.5k. It's probably sound advice.

Based on icebreaker's experience detailed above, I'm putting the spread for a £2.5K withdrawal with this mob at......I dunno?......52-56 days.

When you click, Save As, it gives you an option as to what type of file you wish to save it as. Try that.

Or take a picture of the documents with your iphone and save them??

Call it 'a job for tomorrow', and it's Wednesday before you get round to it, and Thursday before they even look at it. They will then ask for it another format, which you won't address until Monday, because it's nearly the weekend, right? Once they have your document, they will follow-up with drip-fed requests for even more proof of your existence - proof that was likely never required to open the account - followed by days of increasing frustration and exasperation on your part.

And that's before they get round to stalling you on financial settlement of their obligation.

Enjoy the next six weeks. :D

By the time you've finished this BetButler withdrawal purgatory you'll feel that you know the BetButler cust service girl better than you know your ex !
Following all the emails and phone-chats, I got to know her better than I knew my ex-wife. I thought at one stage we might have a future together.

Oh Chyrise Cox, you know how to keep a fella dangling -- you little tease, you. :<3:

(('ll wager that's the lovely gurl you're dealing with?)

The spread moves to 62-66 Days on the strength of the above, and icebreaker's update confirming BetButler have been savvy enough to hire a saucy-strumpet* to field the calls.

With luck, you might collect in time for NRNB at the Festival.

* Guaranteed the only sauce she's familiar with is that which she drizzles on her Sambos of an evening.

Next time you talk t her, let her know you are a close aquaintance of Ice. If it doesn't help you, we might at least get some scandal on him..., :p

Really think you've made a rick, there, GrassH ! :D
My withdrawal was in the lowish 3 figures; S.C.'s nascent withdrawal attempt is for a hefty four-figure sum.
I have no doubt that with BetButler the "waiting-time" increases geometrically in relation to the withdrawal sum requested.

Therefore, I humbly suggest a "3" should be placed in front of the "62-66 Days" to make for a more realistic spread. A full year sounds about right.

Type in CHYRISE COX BET BUTLER on google images and slim's avatar appears :D

This thread is going to be fun watching this play out :ninja:

Superb detective work, Swedish !!!

You are right, it is his avatar.
Good God, Is Chyrise really Slim Chance? 'Tis the only explanation.
Yes, it's all becoming clear now. Slim Chance's continual puffing of BetButler on here, e.g.,
I'd glady pay 3% for this service.
Disgraceful behaviour by that man.

Warning -- kids, nobody on t'internet is who they seem.
To think I had been pouring out my heart for eight weeks to Chyrise, when all along it was Slim Chance I was crying to. :o
