Have taken Hills 25/1 about Saint Calvados (each-way).

Assuming he runs, it will be a stiff enough test first time over 3m, given Lostintranslation, Santini, Bristol De Mai, and Clan Des Obeaux may all run, but A Plus Tard and Topofthegame both have other targets (Fortria and Hennessy respectively), and his price can only go one way.

BDM has the track form, but is possibly past it by now, and I’m not convinced the track is galloping enough (or 3m a stiff enough test) for Santini. CDO ran a bit flat in this 2 years ago, which would leave LIT to beat, and Tizzard’s yard hasn’t really fired yet this season.

So.....like....job done.

That's not what Brussels do to me :lol:

By the way we're in agreement again Grassy, and I've also backed Saint Calvados ew. Also for the King George and the Gold Cup. All each way, and happy for one place to make a profit with anything better a big bonus.

Yep, have all the same bets, Paul, plus an early ew KG/Champion Hurdle double with Saint Roi.

I reckon Saint Roi will go Morgiana and then straight to the Lep at Christmas, PJ. No Hattons Grace for him.

Saint Calvados is by Saint Des Saints, who gets practically all stayers.

Whittington has been duped by the horses early endeavours over 2m, and if he has a brain in his head, he’ll go to Haydock, confirm the horse’s stamina, and then go onto win the King George.

Note: drink has obviously been taken today.

FFS.

It’s an amazing coincidence that this blood issue was only found the evening before the horse was due to be declared to run this coming weekend.

Trainers are such bent cu*nts.

I've backed Keepers Hill EW 40/1 in this. Maybe there is another defection and I don't trust that any of the front three will run their race. I think the Charlie Hall was a pipe opener for this, and I can see him running better than his odds. Whether he gets into the top two, I don't know, but at the odds, happy to find out at small stakes.

I almost looked twice at Bellshill when I saw the final decs; before handing my wallet to a meth addict for safe-keeping, and twatting myself in the unmentionables with a steak-hammer, in an effort to “wisen the fu*ck up, pal”.

I think it’s a hateful-looking event on paper, and would in no way put you off having a go at the head of the market.

I’ve seen worse bets.

CDO will be using this as a prep for the King George.
Lostintranslation will have higher targets later in the year, he won’t be fully at it.
BDM is trained by Twiston Davies and he’s in the bin for me now.

Not if you listen to Nicholl's, he's adamant he's coming to win it...

"He’s probably at his peak now, I don’t know why but he looks a different horse. He’s a lot more athletic and stronger and his work has been very good. He schooled very nicely under Sam on Monday and he’s going to ride him on Saturday as Harry is going to Ascot as if Cyrname gets to Kempton on Boxing Day in once piece Harry will ride that horse there."

“Sam rides at Haydock and was very happy with him on Monday."

“Clan went to Down Royal last year but ran in it two years ago. That was the first time we put him into Grade One company and he probably wasn’t fully wound up that day. I had it in my mind thinking he might be a King George horse at the time and he progressed from Haydock to win at Kempton.

"He ran better than we thought in is first Betfair Chase but on Saturday he’ll be ready to run to his best."

Prior to that race PN insisted Clan was 100% ready, that Down Royal was his 'Gold Cup'.

Take anything the man says with a shovelful of salt.

Only 3 weeks ago Frodon would be coming on from his Cheltenham run and he didn’t think he’d do much off top weight.

Then pisses in.
