Didn't see a thread for this race and wondered what everyone's thoughts are on the potential winner.
Its always been one of my favourite races of the Festival ever since I managed to fall onto Joe Cullen back in 2000. I have had more winners than losers in the race over the years including some nice bets on Total Enjoyment ( tipped by everybody in Ireland in the weeks leading up to the race) and one of my favourite winners Silver Concorde for D.K. Weld.
This year I am starting to get drawn to Aqua Force, a 29 length winner of its only race and almost immediately snapped up by JP and now with WPM. It's odds have been contracting over the last week, from 33's into 12's on most books today. I have taken the plunge and had a bet as I dont think there are any particular stand outs in the field at the moment and I wouldnt be surprised if he goes off at single figures.
Thoughts anyone?

I've just read your post and then saw this: JP McManus reveals the one horse he has backed for the Cheltenham Festival - and it’s not even one of his own - JP backing a WPM horse in the bumper...but not his own. Could mean anything with him.
Saw that this morning and not surprisingly Copacabana is the fav for the race, but I suppose a lot depends on when the interview was done and how much is a "small bet" in the JP world.....
Will be interesting to see what Patrick picks in the bumper and obviously a lot can change between now and Wednesday.

I am happy about the fact Paul Townend will ride Copacabana.
Hopefully WPM will do the right thing by Patrick and allow him to ride Gameofinches.
on the day I reckon Patrick will steal a march on them by going earlier than expected and will hold the late challenge of Copacabana

The concern I would have about Gameofinches is that its debut run will only have been 20 days before Wednesday. My guess is they would prefer to have got him started sooner than that.

Bambino Fever’s DRF win got a nice boost at Naas this afternoon.

I like this, You got these for every day ?

Given today's times, Aqua Force, by a Derby winner who broke standard by 3.87s the day he won on a road on Epsom Downs, might not be the one-dimensional soup monster his debut win by half a circuit of Gowran Park might suggest and while David Maxwell wouldn't quite make it into my all-time top one thousand Jump Jockeys, El Cairos has the distinction of having won on Good ground and might just carry his pilot into contention.

I think you’ve been having a sneaky listen to the Final Furlong podcast because they tipped El Cairos up ( supposedly burning up the gallops)! Annoyingly it’s only 14/1 now. It would make my week if David Maxwell could win at the Festival.
