Yeah, he's vulnerable. Would be an absolute lock for the Ryanair. Inevitably he'll be in trouble at some point it's just how far clear will CPS and Defi be when he finds that gear up the hill. Might be too far clear.
 
Race of the festival this.

If Altior’s within 3 lengths at the last it’ll be difficult. Chacun has form over Defi. Defi the pick of the English this season. I’d be tempted at Chacun price dependant. Not a betting proposition atm for me. But certainly looking forward to this. Won’t be able to resist Defi on the day I don’t reckon. Could easily be 3/1 plus Slim. I dare say everyone will be getting stuck into Chacun and Altior

think the chacun over defi form is flimsy given the circumstances of the race. he'd be 3rd in the list of my idea of the winner.

altior.....going to be hard to see off if he is anywhere near after the last. likely be against him as can't imagine he's a bigger price than what he is now on the day. last 2 runs at cheltenham plus age enough to oppose him but he won't be far away.

hopefully get good price on defi but also hope 365 do their free bet offer they have the past couple of years cos it's the kind of race to watch and enjoy without much liability.

To what extent do the following factors affect Defi’s price:

1. Sentimental money for Altior
2. Paddy’s playing-up bundles on CPA, after Envoi Allen trots-up in the opener?

.....and at what price does he become value (because 7/2 looks healthy-enough to me)?

Bet365 might have that double for x200 what PP would!
 
Could be 10/3 on the day. All the small money for Altior and Irish money for CPS. Might even come with a special like money back if Altior wins.
 
Can anyone even agree what should be favourite? You could make a strong case for all three. It's some race.
 
Chacum is improving and looks a serious prospect, he is the main danger to Altior but no course form and so lightly raced sounds like not very healthy horse.

Defi, good winning strike and course form but more than 10 pounds to find with Altior in my book

Altior looks the obvious one for me, comes fresh, best form, winning machine and course form.


A plus Tard should go to the Ryan Air , where he will have a favorite chance

I think people get way too caried away with multiple run ups. Betfair doesn't factor it in unless the bookmakers put 50k+ into the market

Does Altior deserve to be 10 pounds ahead looking back at the race last year and Newbury just gone?
 
There is every chance I will swing towards each of the three principals, at some point over the next four weeks, which can mean only on thing:

I’ll probably end-up doing Politologue each-way, or something equally fu*cking stupid.
