Cheltenham Ante Post Competition 2013-14 (The Alan Morgan Trophy)

Here's a snapshot of all the races, horses and members highest possible portfolio totals.

Thanks to Grey for the explanation of all the workings (and all his help with the checking) - I have problems getting my head around the notional part as well  - the formulas are all built into the spreadsheet but it's hard to visualise how it works so I can manually check and I had totally forgotten to take into account portfolios having two win bets on different horses in the same race :o

Quite a few more on the board today though, well done everyone.

On top at the half way stage, but with all my big guns fired, I would doubt to last there until the end. If tiger roll and if in doubt would be as kind to oblige, then it would put the icing on the cake to what has been an unbelievable cheltenham thus far.

I just want to say I've thoroughly enjoyed this competition, fair play to all involved, appreciate in all the time and effort you have put in running it and keeping it up to date. Fantastic job all round

Not much change today - bob remains the one to beat but there are a couple more who get on the board - Luke and Maxbet, and some others add to their scores

I'll need to double check everything and make up a list of finishing order but I don't think there is any doubt about the winner - congratulations to Steve T with an impressive winning total of £61,000

Will post a full list tomorrow but looks like bob has held on to second place - well done

Congrats Steve T, well done. Another two winners today, I thought I had it in the bag after Tiger Roll and Lac Fontana winning. But that got blown out of the water after Lord Windermere bagged you 45K  :D That was some selection to win in all fairness. Fair play Steve, nicely played

Congratulations to Steve T, the clear winner and first person to win both prizes in this competition. Ironically Lord Windermere, the only horse in his portfolio which drifted beforehand and therefore weakened his hand for the notional value prize, was the one which went on to bag him the main prize after he had a maximum £1500 on it.

Bob, hard luck, your total might well have been good enough to win it in another year.

Tout Seul deserves a mention, not only because he put up the trophy for which many thanks, but because he had both Jezki and Lord Windermere in his portfolio.

Roddy and Grasshopper, thanks for putting up the cash prizes once again.

And special thanks to New Approach, the whole forum is very grateful for your contribution.

Now that the results have been checked (thanks Grey) here are the final portfolios and the 'leaderboards' of both members and horses (only those who had any return are shown).

Congratulations again to Steve T and also to bob and SlimChance who filled second and third places.

More tables to follow in next post - including the winners portfolio
