10 weeks to go to the festival. This was a useful thread last year for bouncing actual bets of people which get lost in the various race discussion threads.

Current Bets
€200 @ 100+ Staying Article (Champion Hurdle)
€200 @ 40+ Cue Card (Gold Cup)
€250 @ 7/1 Grandouet (Champion Hurdle)
€1000 @ 9/4 Simonsig (Arkle Chase)

Two very speculative bets on Betfair but I don't mind throwing away money at massive prices. I like the risk/reward of those bets and they were placed a few months ago.

I think there is an angle to be had in the Arkle and Champon Chase markets where the front of the market is dominated by Sprinter Sacre and Simonsig. I'd have thought Overturn and Sanctuaire are both highly likely to take up their engagements in their respective race. Two e/w singles and an e/w double @ 7/1 & 14/1 with Bet365 could look a tidy investment when both races enivatiably cut up because of the hotpots.

Now as for getting the bet on with Bet365...

I have ante-posters scattered all over the parish; with several nonsense tilts at crazy prices in the mix. I've not played in many races but rather have had a combination of cover/crazy bets in fewer races. Summary as follows:

I'm more interested in getting a good finish, Slim. :D

Most confident in Bobs Worth at this stage. His form stacks-up, he stays, he loves the track, jumps well, and puts it all in. For all that I hope the Hurricane proves the doubters wrong, I have taken a small leap-of-faith in my "not right/ready last season" theory. Time will tell if it's right or not.

Be lucky to have runners, let alone winners amongst some of the remainder, but the weightings compensate if one or both of the big two win.

Either that or it's baked-beans again for the summer. :whistle:

Maybe not but he has precisely the same chance of staying the Gold Cup trip as he does of beating Sprinter Sacre i.e none. Ryanair appears the logical option to me but with his connections, who knows:D
