Cheltenham Observations

So he beat BH by 9, he was raised in trip to beat him by 14 and thats a proof of how good Sizing John was over 2 miles? Poor Arzal, if he'd still be alive he'd be crowned a champion for beating John 30 lengths over 2 and half.

Very possible. Outlander plainly doesn't act at the track, Poli won't be going and Alpha bleeds. SL apart EoD seems the only other contender they may have.

No he wouldn't. Sizing John was gone after Cheltenham last year. Henry always peaked his horses around the Festival - Sizing Europe was never as good after March.

Sizing Europe? I vividly remember how close he got to SS at P'town when the latter traveled over for the treble of festivals just 4 years ago.

I mentioned Arzal, The Game Changer & L'Ami Serge just to show how easy is to mix things up. 2 Miles and 3 miles form is ridiculous to compare. The horse was average at best over 2 miles and only competed against novices. He got beat by many other horses over that distance and this season he got better only when going up in trip. Even then he could only beat Don Poli-161 rated- by a length and Minella Rocco-156 rated- by 2-3 lengths. If he's a legacy to Douvan to whom he was second 5 times, then he's a legacy to the 3 mentioned horses that beat him by 10+ lengths in his last 5 runs.
