Coral Gold Cup (Hennessey)

I've backed Ahoy Senor for this and am slightly stressed he might destroy his rivals at Wetherby and get a 170 mark.

If he smashes them up at Wetherby, I reckon they'll probably swerve this, and potentially go to Leopardstown at Christmas (Kempton not his track, most likely).

The yard also have Corach Rambler entered, and they might use the Hennessy to see if he can get competitive at Graded level.

I think Henderson has a good hand to play, but which card he’ll put on the table is anyone’s guess.

I’ve just taken 33/1 Remastered with 365. 4lb lower than when coming down 4 out last year as he was about to take it up.

Hard to say how he’d have finished it off as it’s a long way home from there but 33/1 is too big.

I reckon the one they all have to beat is Protektorat.

Even with top weight he will absolutely love this galloping course

Only questions being is how forward is he and are they going for the race

Seems much more likely to go to Haydock for the Betfair Chase, if recent comments from Skelton anything to go by.

Pumpkin isn't stupid, he knows BMG has no chance of staying 3m2 around Newbury on likely soft ground. Charlie Hall/KG/Denman/Aintree surely the horse's most likely path.

If Bravemansgame wins as impressively tomorrow as I think he will it'll be interesting to see where he goes.

They could easily avoid each other and win both races between them

I’ve just topped up at 16/1 as that was a good performance at Aintree and shouldn’t affect his chase mark for this.

Don't under estimate the spotting it bit though Lee:cool:. I have no interest in the race so will be shouting yours on.

I'm interested as to how Grumpy Charley might get on at Bangor this Wednesday in a 3 mile chase there sheduled to be run on soft ground.

He does like soft ground and handles heavy too. He won at Newbury last season before a respectable third behind Bravesmansgame at the same venue.

His season went a bit tits up afterwards but I reckon he could do better this season as a second season chaser. His rating of 138 might look a bit high based on what he has actually done, but if he could win on Wednesday and justify his rating then that would be a big step in the right direction and maybe he could improve more in a race like this.

I know the last two winners of this had a very similiar rating, (Cloth Cap and Cloudy Glen), so there's hope for a lowly weighted horse in the main event.

Awaiting to see him run on Wednesday and who he is up against.

From viewing oddschecker seems as if a few horses were taken out at the latest entry stage today. Check your anti post wagers if you have placed any.

A shame about him. It really looks like he peaked very early on and may have gone backwards since last season. I guess that can happen. You must be gutted if you had backed him for this.
