Daily picks.

Would have chance on last years mile form, just looks as though they will need to go overly quick I wouldn't discount it as the race looks full of exposed runners with no better aw form.

Carrera

Probably carreras best ever aw run only on a mark of 54 the pace was pretty decent with time of race ok for the grade splitting the progressive Tee it up tommo and well handicapped prince of Burma just getting touched off. There was 2 1/2ls back to recent winner nubar boy in 4th the form looks solid especially for horse off only 54,he has previous form at Kempton but not as good as this.Lingfield may be his track travelled really well into the race looks wouldn't necessarily think he's pace dependant on the way he travelled in this race and from such a low mark, worth giving a few chances!!

With such a decent pace and fairly decent time have to take a positive view of the form, luhaif last season runner up to van der neer hadn't run for 198 days and from the 11 draw trying to make all,the run here behind van der neer only .01 slower. He could well come on for run and dominate another one of these races, was unlucky to find one in birdman showing big improvement in first time headgear, wionning nicely at finish but needing the decent pace to show true ability. With same scenario no reason to think there's more improvement.
Dance and dance was finishing well as was true to form almost definitely wants the 1m2fs George guru was still finishing the race off hampered at finish as mias boy by birdmans run.George guru usually gets overbet but ran well would've been upsides luhaif at finish but for interference and although not particularly well handicapped the same horses keep running against one another with guaranteed pace could pick up one of these. And as mentioned mias boy showed he still retains ability at 10 he will struggle to win in this grade but is falling down the weights gradually.Again the pace showing him in better light he could be value at big prices with again more pace in the race, wouldv'e finished upsides dance and dance without being hamoered..

Is Mia's Boy 10? I remember backing it FTO in a Newmarket maiden when it was smashed off the boards!

Noble citizen

Veteran now and anyone who's backed him in the past would've lost fortunes only 4/58 so now maybe the time to bet him.He was the biggest eyecatcher in this race travelling best 2fs out stopped twice in run and then switched to the inside when race was over would surely have gone close with a clear run.
He may just get overpriced after so many losses and on this form there should be at least a race in him he's worth following for a few runs

Tyrsal.spreadable

A very weak race but probably alright for the grade only rated 56 and 47 yet only .50 slower than kimbali winning the older handicap off 65 tyrsal ran on well picking up again in last furlong. The second was dropped out had to switch in the straight and maybe an unlucky loser although drifting over to the rail and with heasdgear on,will be interesting to see his next run. These races are very weak and they could both go on and win races

mappin time,dark castle,bonnie charlie

Mappin time was the most glaringly obvious in this race as was left at the start giving away ground, travellled as well as anything to be hampered a furlong ot but still finished full of running and would undoubtedly been placed at worst. Now down to last winning mark and a preference for decent ground should be a decent price ion one of these handicaps. The other to a lesser extent was dark castle, similarly losing quite a bit of ground at the start switched a couple of times not convinced was trying to get involved at the finish midway through the race.Dark castles getting down near the 75 mark so could be massively undersetimated pricewise only 4 lifetime runs on turf currently off 78,never finished in the first 9 on turf so could be some huge prices floating around.
The last one bonnie charlie not quite sure to make of this run was ridden along early, look to come there travelling strongly then ted durcan looked to stop riding hard to be 100% as he may have been stopped in run.Looked like he gave up when thought his chance had gone, bonnie charlie currently off 78 has only won once since 2008 but nicholls had a bad seasson in 2012.Obviously would be wanting big prices with that only win in 5 seasons but that run looked encouraging

I'll be good

An eyectaching run by alan berrt horse and backed as well into fav so better form than previously shown was expected although had been running in this grade and slightly lower would've been hard to predict this run which looked big improvement on current rating. The gelding was rated 83 in 2012 but has been on downgrade since, did win off 69 in October last season, but won this convincingly off 58 being pulled up at finish and in relatively good time with track on slowside and ease of win.He maybe worth risking even though trained by alan berry as is potentially very well handicapped and the fact this race was fuill of pace and he won sio convincingly, next three in behind all coming off the pace.Would be good to see him not risen more than 7 pound as could even drop in grade he may get underestimated in betting!!

This looked a decent time for a 64 rated horse running on what was relatively slow surface carrying 9-5,on previous run also clocking up a very fast time when winning in 1m27.09.That race was only a week ago and had exposed low grade runners in it so was hard to take at face value although was fastest on the card.Basingstokes now proven itself on the track when slow and quicker and should be more to come these 7f races are usually around the 1m29 mark when on the slow side yesterdays winner ace master winning in 1m29.80 off 75 although that race not run at searching pace it shows how relative this decent time was and in a seller. There could be more to come.

Oriental relation

Oriental relation had looked thorioughly exposed running in the 70s on turf struggling to win and over a variety of trips looked one to avoid. Was switched to the aw last time out when collared by angel flores off my to follows, the time of that race wasn't great but le latier has franked the form this week by rinning third in a decent handicap at Kempton.Even with that form being frankled he still looked one to avoid at probable prices, but tonight hacked up by 5ls could've been 8ls and the most impressive thing was the time 1m2.30 that time looked comparatively quick on a card where the 87 rated rivelinos 6f race was 3.12 seconds above standard yet won by over 3ls and could well be a mid 90s horse looking at turf form and progressive sprinter still.Oriental relation is obviously not straight forward but the blinkers have helped looking at this run and the minimum trip,at lingfield he may even take more pegging back as long as he doesn't get a rise of more than 3 pound he may just be worth risking in handicaps as this looks a decent rin on the aw..

Just to add if you look at debut run at Leicester he finished behind anhesontherun now rated 94 and atlantic affair rated 80 had previous experience ran in gp 2 on second run then switched to variety of trips and ground so the debut run does point to him being potentially reasonably well handicvapped.

Strong man
Repitition

Strong mans looked exposed but was only second ever run at swell today, taken on by piceno throughout he did well to stay on well behind kung hei fat choy probably different class to these. He's off 68 one iof his highest ever marks but the way he travelled on surface this could turn out he's better on the surface and may pick up one of these when allowed to dominate.Repitition looks hard ride hanging both ways through the race, has won at swell on debut but ran poorly last run here.Still with only the 11 runs there could be more to come on the surface and I wouldn't be surprised to see some headgear. It maybe worth even trying him over a mile and his marks creeping towards 65 which would enable hiom to run in very weak races at the track.

Mishrif

Mishrif runner up to my to follows horse repetition yesterday and repetition got to dominate stepping up in trip not completely sure they went that quick early as the 6f race on the card was very quick.Mishrif looks a rogue but showed that he retains ability, the pace not looking quick enough for him he hung into the middle of the track 2 1/2fs out then was switched back inside nearest finish staying on really well.If he'd run in a straight line he may well of won,but as he showed looks unpreduictable and on previous run after hacking up.He may not be any value in future races but worth noting in a race where the pace may collapse..

Hunting ground

Nice performance on only third run at swell clocking a reasonable time of 2m36.40 with lots of improvement to come.As many I've put on here recently I've waited to see if he could translate the form to the turf ran ok today but not going to be as good on turf unless he wants further looked at swell as though the further he went the better he was. He's been given a mark of 86 for the aw which may not leave him hardly anything to run in on at swell but worth bearing in mind if he switches surfaces during the winter and a few 0s infront of his name may just get overpriced.Out of top class dirt performers street cry and panty raid he's one to watch closely as he progresses!

KABBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM Got a bit of 6/1 :lol::lol::lol:was 8/1

The next time I looked it was 2/1 I wouldn't have taken less than 3/1 its form looked completely different class just a matter of the surface which is very slow at the moment probably suited it.Very unlucky not to pull off monster double with small john earlier took 10/1 and 11/1 hadn't been drawn 9 would've won!!

Lexi's hero

When I first saw the time of this race I thought it was spectacular and eased for the win off 75,first time visor lighting up the gelding making all but the 7f later on the card suggests times were flattering, previous 4 runs had looked solid the last winning but 3 previous runner up spots to winners maakir, mappin tuime and the progressive discussiontofollow. He looks really interesting after this run was off 103 2011 he maybe even be able to drop back a furlong on this showing if visor has same affect. He will probably go up 10 pound for this win and could yet progress further on the aw,even allowing for exaggerated race time he could be an impriover on the surfaces with visor on...

Everything was set up for Smalljohn bar the draw. 0-65, challoner taking 3 off on his only mount of the day allied to his his record at wlves after a run at sthwell read 1 - 2(beaten a head) - 3(beaten 1/4 length)

Unlucky with the double

been busy week for your notebooks, winning left right and centre, havent managed to back most of them, formbook has been sending out the winners for last 7 days in a row. had that caramack in a double with prime exhibit, thought the form was the most reliable choice as had ran on to lead at the finish over 6f.
alfred hutchinson had easy opposition in that race with hindsight, has few good race times now to its name looks very competitive in that grade.

I wouldn't take too much notice of the times at lingfield fastest the tracks ever been, the Alfred Hutchinson race they went no pace in first three furlongs so was a bit of a farce even though winner seemed to win easy enough I wouldn't be backing it at shorter prices guaranteed against same runners with more pace in the race.

Was the exact race I was looking for everything looked useless bar caramack, although being drawn 9 and not usual jockeys wasn't guaranteed to be at its best.Always a bit of a gutter when it's the right race and now all the values gone although may win will be priced accordingly, next time out will be 3/1 in same race not 10/1.
