Hawkeyethenoo

Put him up last season and he still hasn't won a race since august 2012,but he has some rock solid form in group races last season and the above race even showing he can compete even over inadequate 5fs in right conditions.Lsrt season was stopped in run when 4th to society rock may well have won that group 2 with a clear run.The above race shows how much ability he retains over 5fs which he hadn't run over since june 2010,even more interesting was the draw he came from bar his second from the 3 draw and farside the first 8 places were filled by horses drawn 16,12,17,14,18,20,22 and the 9th placed horse an saighdiur was drawn 1 and came out this season hacking up in listed race by 5ls.
Hopefully after running on the aw his prices will become more value on the turf as on the run above he should be winning races,he may even still pick up a listed race under soft ground conditions!!

Elusivity
Pearl blue

Both of these runners giving the field a big start elusivity giving away 6ls and pearl blue even more 8ls there realistic chance of winning gone from the break but were both nearest finish and the two eyecatchers.Elusivity was running in different class races was at one point rated 106,last season was 4th at York for O'Meara off 103 has now changed stables to peter crate has obviously regressed running off 88 and only 2/36 on turf.He doesn't look one to be taking short prices but finished really well on track that suits the pace horses and will give a few chances.
Pearl blue is a mare I've followed since she won at sandown as 3yr old by 7ls off 69 after that race I thought she was a 90 horse which proved to be the case but I thought she may even go onto slightly better class. She's 6 now rated 92 and been around these marks since 2012 but she is still relatively lightly raced only 21 lifetime runs I've always got the impression she could win a really nice handicap even off these marks. She's never won on anything better than gd/sft probably needs at least soft yet has still run well on good ground, last season she only ran 4 times running some great races off 92 4th,3rd 4th in competitive races. The fact chris wall doesn't over race her and race her on the wrong ground points towards him thinking she will/can win some of these decent handicaps. The track was totally against her today, george baker just let her run into the race and she finished full of running after conceding 8ls,hopefully another poor summer and more entries on the right ground!!:D

Bright approach
Marsh daisy

A really impressive winner half sister to Nichols canyon, the time of the race quicker iof the the three races on the day but more relevant .63 quicker than the following days handicap run on faster ground over the same c/d.The maiden win .63 fgaster than top diktat winning off 78 in the older handicap on faster ground off level weights plus looked loads of improvement to come. She looks like she could be listed class already and the 4th marsh daisy not getting a clear run in the straight having to be switched to outer of field and not given hard race she looks one to follow with step up in trip, related to 5 winners up to 2 mile..

Missed this from last season on Saturday,my name is rio winning at thirsk off just 67.4yr old only 7 lifetime runs and was huge catcher last season in the above.Michael dods saying he was badly struck into twice last season and he was the only runner from the notts race that didn't go onto frank the form of that race.On Saturday winning by 2 1/4ls from the well handicapped clubland and also .33 quicker than the second div won by trade secret also well handicapped winning off 70.He could still be progressive and even with rise will liokely only be around the 74 mark and now proven that 6fs as well as 5fs wil suit.Quite an interesting runner starting off reasonable marks, hopefully progressive and one to follow..

My name is rio

It was 11/2 drifted last night,it actually looked better after the first two races with the high draws looking favoured probably why it shortened so much.

Soul brother

A very fast time on the card this 5f race at least on this ground looked pretty decent the maiden winner g force running a fully 2 seconds quicvker than one boy winning the 3yr old handicap off 75 later on the card. That run looks even better as the winner one boys notts handicap runner up spot has already been franked by 3rd and 4th winning from that race in the 70s yet g force was over 2 seconds quicker and won cheekily in the end when overcoming the draw.
I was looking at the times of his run from October and comparatively on the newbury card looking at the nursery he had looked very promising he looked a 90 horse and was a case of whether he would go on the ground for O'Meara after buying from the hannon stable.Whether he is worth following is hard to say as I presume he will take a big step up in class and will be in very competitive races, but I will keep one eye on his mark just incase the handicapper makes some massive mistake but highly unlikely.
What should be interesting is the second soul brother, his debut behind reroute in the fast time at York when down the field ,didn't like the soft ground when running at this track last time out.He is brother to body and soul and this time suggests tonight big improvement, his mark should be really interesting as the handicapper can only raise him on this run was beaten by shared equity last time out that particular horse has been given a rating of 75.On those figures it would be hard for the handicapper to go much higher than that but on tonights times would look extremely well handicapped!!

Red primo
Incurs four faults

Hopefully this race will get underestimated and the winner and second may end up well handicapped the runner up only rated 39 after three runs showing nothing. The winner was impressive on debut and could've won by a far greater distance, the following handicap won by klynch was only .35 quicker klynch off lowest mark since june 2011 so looked extremely well handicapped off 75 and adding more substance to the maiden time. The marks of the winner and runner up in the maiden are going to be very interesting the second equally as only rated 39 tried to make all passed by winner 2fs out but then again really picking up again at finish.
Incurs four faults is bred for further as well so can only improve with step up in trip and with their following marks likely to be underestimated they could also be worth following onto the turf.To look at first glance the form looks very weak and hopefully that will reflected in prices,it looks a classic race where the handicapper cannot be to harsh and might get caught out!!

The time on what was probably just slower than standard was decent for the ease of the win and on seasonal debut and only third run.Hand's 'n heels win off a mark of 76 and also .85 quicker than free spin winning the second div hosted Keynes looks well handicapped and again could be another heading for liseted class.Probably one of the few decent looking prospects seen on the aw so far this season..

Romantic bliss

This was a strange race as even the three time winner desert colours had been winning very poor races in very slow times, yet this race full of slowboats although the fom looks suspect the time of the race would've been decent for higher grade races. The time of this race only .63 slower than life from mars winning later on the card off 80 in older aged handicap. It maybe worth giving romantic bliss a couple of chances, looked exposed as only off 51 her form seems to be improving very gradually at the lowest level. She can actually drop down in grade and as she's produced such a reasonable time off a very low mark she maybe interesting back over this c/d!!

Mishrif

Mishrif runner up to my to follows horse repetition yesterday and repetition got to dominate stepping up in trip not completely sure they went that quick early as the 6f race on the card was very quick.Mishrif looks a rogue but showed that he retains ability, the pace not looking quick enough for him he hung into the middle of the track 2 1/2fs out then was switched back inside nearest finish staying on really well.If he'd run in a straight line he may well of won,but as he showed looks unpreduictable and on previous run after hacking up.He may not be any value in future races but worth noting in a race where the pace may collapse..

As low as you can go,but lots of reasonsd to think this could be very good form for such a low quakity race for horses rated upto 59.The winner was only on 4th lifetime run and first time visor, the second had only 7 lifetime runs encountering soft ground for first time and first time tongue tie and the third only 4 lifetime runs again encountering soft ground and first run for Richard fahey.
What really makes it even more interesting is the time .53 quicker than the class 6 for older horses won by 65 rated magaleka, unless there was rain between races then the time compares very favourably. Also the 4th in the 3yr old race was a further 3 3/4ls behind with rest of the field spread out, with this being such a low grade race they should be reasonable prices next time out and at least short term worth following especially on speed track like catterick..

I get the feeling this may not be quite as good as it looked as time suggests just visually, but won't ignore it as 1m25.14 on debut run is pretty quick. Was only .39 slower than 84 rated mystical sapphire winning the older handicap so was backed up by this race out of shamardal so could be big improver especially on the aw and again marco botti on these surfaces always worth watching for progressive horses.

Not being wholly dedicated to using form and ground and stable and jockey solely to find winners - I am a "draw maven" - so to say, I watch the early races, and see what the draw bias is giving. On 2000 Guineas Day, Newmarket has produced 3 winners in the first 3 races - ALL from Draw 6 (and 2 for Ryan Moore).

Goodwood is running quite the same - in fact 4 winners from 4 races - ALL Draw 5. And in that fourth race Draw 5 came home at 40/1!!! I am certainly onto a bargain horse, courtesy of some very obvious draw patterns today. I recommend any bets at these 2 courses today, the draw must make a major factor. Draw 3 Night of Thunder wins the 2000 - has ruined my Newmarket run :)

Night of thunder

One of the if not the most impressive debuts of the season winning by 6ls and quickening up on desperate ground in a canter was even more impressive than when al thakira won her debut. The 6ls didn't reflect hios superiority could've been 10ls and that was backed up by the clock only .73 slower than ashpan sam winning the class 3 later on the card off 90 by 3 1/4ls.On this ground looks group horse and again with the 2yr old races being in the main weak there won't be many better!!

Simple magic

A very fast time of 1m13.60 on the aw eased and hacking up by the filly, can't remember anything quicker 2yr old wise and considering the ease of the win probably one of the most impressive winners seen on the aw in recent times. Her form on the turf over 5fs previous looked average she may yet get a nice mark for nurserys, even if she doesn't repeat this run on turf she looks a top class aw horse.

Be ready

I got to watch this race while away and thought be readys run was pretty impressive for debut run behind somewhat the first two look group horses and the time of the race only .29 slower than gken moss winning later on the card. There looks loads to work with be ready and would imagine is a group horse although might not be a great deal of value such a good debut hard to ignore.

Barley mow,yuften

Two more that were outstanding on the newbury cards on the two days coming 1st and 2nd not sure how the ground compared on the two days but this race was 1.14 seconds slower than somewhats on the following day but lots of improvement to come from the pair. The time of the race also compared well to the very decent claimer on the card win by tatlisu beating balty boys .50 slower.Again hard to at least not have them noted with decent debuts.#

Hors de combat

Another impressive winner from the fanshawe stable time looked ok for debut run, although the races on the straight weren't run at true pace but wasn't far off askauds time .42 rated 86 in the older handicap. The following day the nursery won by dancealot rated 73 running off 8-1 yet only .20 quicker than debut run of hors de combat the times aren't really comparable due to pace but the debutant carried 9-5 in the maiden so can only see it as a positive with improvement to come.

Racing mate

One of the most interesting of the weeks racing as trained by paul d'arcy so there is more chance of getting overlooked in the betting.Racing mates seasonal debut and only .47 slower than the winner of the 3yr old handicap angus og winning off 81 but carrying 8-10 racing mate off 9-5.With normal improvement nurseries would look a formality so the mark would be very interesting as could well be listed class and with slightly unfashionable trainer would be more than likely overlooked stepped up into that class.

Talented kid

Another horse Johnston has turned around fromlooking slow in bumpers to hacking up tonight at Windsor conceding the 82 rated 3yr old vanity rules 11 pound and a 3ls beating. The time of the race was fast by 1.08 seconds good considering ease of win and over a second quicker than al jamal winning off 76 in following race, that winner carrying 9-1 winning easily.Looks yet another Johnston horse to follow and the mark given will be very interesting.

Just back and myself and partner have been sick since coming back so I've just had brief look through with the above don't know how accurate the times etc are above but they should still be worth at least watching out for.

A decent time at Leicester for this nursery and at the sort of ratings where there could still be some value all below 75,the winner came from last to first and although put up 5 pound could stil be very well handicapped as looked far superior to these. The 2yr old conditions race later on the card .21 slower won by stars above me rated 86 and only carrying 8-2 as opposed to the earlier handicappers.Been avoiding these nurserys as they looked so weak but this one looks following based on that time and the first 5 were relatively unexposed especially with the decent ground as well.

Baby strange

I mentioned when putting up joeys destiny baby strange being an eyecatcher in that race and tonight over the same c/d again similarly.Tonight he was left 8ls and the race was never going to suit as all the runners came stands side,he was hacking up with a furlong and a half to go.Running up the backl of a wall of horses several times trying to get through,he undoubtedly would've been involved in the finish and looks in really good form.
His last 7 runs he's been a virtual eyecatcher every run and in better class races, getting no run and on ground not slow enough, whilst at the same time his mark is gradually falling.Whether he will keep running as the ground gets quicker will be interesting, usually is kept on the go on good ground but the last two seasons only one run in july.He retains all his enthusiasm though and will look a decent bet on softer ground, hopefully one of our sudden deluges in the summer and getting a decent price...

Run with pride

A really interesting debut from this 4yr old,200,000 yearling from stoutes yard picked up for 7500 and looks like could be cracking cheap buy.The 4yr old csrrying 9-12 eight pund more than the 84 rated right touch carrying 9-4 but only .41 slower than that handicap winner. It would be fair to say the 4yr old has run to a similar mark as that winner with weight concession so the geldings future mark is going to be really interesting.Hopefully the handicapper will take the srcond as the marker not the third rated commander kirk,he could well get underestimated. There also could be a lot of potential improvement on that run as well so could easily be a 90 horse if he progresses,an interesting runner for smaller stable!!

teds brother

Falsely run race tonight and will again be great value on the poly or when returned to the turf of only a mark of 63,previous run was almost 2 seconds quicker than tonights race.He will be overlooked after that run and will be priced accordingly,a nice for to follows on aw surfaces or when back on the turf early season.

Havn't seen much in the way of decent 2yr olds so this race maybe decent, the field nicely spread out at finish with winner and nearest finish runner up going away from the field. The winner only filly in the field so gives the result a bit more interest and the third entered in derby looking to need further.Looking at last years times over these two days, this time compated favourably as well and although the ground may have been a touvh quicker today was still goodish ground. The time of the race only 1.44 seconds slower than sole powers win, which is good for debutants, may not turn out to be the best but at least short term pretty sure there wil be some top class sprinters in the race!!

Dubai dynamo

Will put Dubai dynamo on for the aw had disappointing turf season but this run last season in decent 6f trip behind tarooq and intransigent with resurgent Harrison George and frog hollow behind.Dubai dynamo is better over slightly further and followed this run up with a 4th to benzanno, swing alone and grey mirage over a mile at lingfield another hot little handicap. There ust be achance he'll be overpriced on return to the aw.

Clear praise

Clear praise looked a little unlucky in this race gregori allowed to dictate the race at only slow pace and turning it into a 2f sprint between jubilee brig.Clear praise was always travelling well in behind but simply they didn't go quick enough, hayley turner then having been on the far rail ended up drifting towards the middle of the track losing almost as much ground as distance beat.Even after doing that he still ran on nearest finish he may have been the best horse in the race with truer pace, would certainly have been second at worst and with the ground lost.He sits on a mark of 79 might take another drop after this run, this is his lowest mark for 16 months and the time he has struck has been around these marks won off 80 last season and previous season off 78.He looks in good form on the aw and handicapped to wn.

Royal marskell,cocozza

Royal marskell and cocozza eyecatchers both trained by ken clutterbuck has very few winners and one of these may well be his next winner.Royal marskell was left 5ls in this race switched to race in what was the middle of the track and nearest finish, still lightly raced only 5 runs could well be overpriced on next runs with unfashionable trainer in the last few weeks of the season.Similarly cocozza ging away lots of ground but from the 1 draw being a bigger disadvantage, was under pressure for most of the race looked beat 3fs ouit and still stayed on to finish 4th.Cocozza won't be as much value as the other as was rated 103 in 2011 a horse that punters recognize and back but still might pick up a little race!!

Waited a long time for this one to get his head in front with a new trainer but a very belated KAAAAAAAAAAAAAABBBBBBBBBBBBBBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM!:)
