Romantic bliss

This was a strange race as even the three time winner desert colours had been winning very poor races in very slow times, yet this race full of slowboats although the fom looks suspect the time of the race would've been decent for higher grade races. The time of this race only .63 slower than life from mars winning later on the card off 80 in older aged handicap. It maybe worth giving romantic bliss a couple of chances, looked exposed as only off 51 her form seems to be improving very gradually at the lowest level. She can actually drop down in grade and as she's produced such a reasonable time off a very low mark she maybe interesting back over this c/d!!

A very competitive race and although picansort is 7yr old has always hinted that he holds something back this race showing his true ability cantering over the field sitting upsides the winner forest edge 2fs out cut up and hampered and finshing under hand's n' heels.Probably the fact he can race in these quicker better class races helps and now he's risen enough to run in them should be worth following on this run. There was another eyecatcher in alben star 6ls off the pace from the break and finishing again under hand's n' heels over a trip which he's only run on debut,he's now down to a mark of 92 did not look particularly well handicvapped on this run but only 3rd run back in 14 months. He was running well on the turf 2012 in the high 90s so the mark of 92 and after todays run maybe he still has a few pounds in hands and could well be overpriced next time out back over 6fs.

Picansort,Alben star

Romantic Bliss 8.45 Wolver.

Think this horse has a very good chance tonight, thought it ran well on its 1st outing at Southwell lto finished just behind its stablemate Cascadia who won on its next visit there. However it was its previous run over tonights C/D that really caught the eye when running on very strongly in the final furlong to get within 1 length of El Duque. That horse ran very well from an 11lb higher mark in a h'cap btn just 1 length nto, the horse back in 5th Black Vale has also won since. Took 6/1 last night but 9/2 still available

Put this up 2 runs ago andy, wish it had won the other night at 25/1 but ran right up to form with the winner.

Doncaster

1.30pm - I hate sprints and I don't like 2 yr old races, might leave this alone but interested to see how Escalating runs under Queally.

2.05pm - Got the race to 3 which are Fencing, Graphic and Guest Of Honour. Gone with Graphic and Guest Of Honour in a reverse forecast and backed Graphic 2pts win and Guest Of Honour 0.5pt win. Graphic was progressing well on turf, very good win over Breton Rock on soft, ignore the Kempton run. Guest Of Honour won a listed race and was 3rd in a Gp2, decent form.

2.40pm - I liked the look of Mass Rally at first at about 12-1 but stats are 0 wins from 10 starts at Donny and 0 wins from 8 starts on soft. Hard to see past Jack Dexter and Tropics but I favour Jack Dexter. Loves the track, loves soft ground, classy type and great jockey on board.

3.15pm - I've gone with Gworn in the Spring Mile. I like consistency with a horse, has won on soft and looks quite progressive. Only 4 yrs old and that age group have won 6 of last 7 renewals.

I've left the Lincoln alone but I know O'Meara is keen on Sweet Lightning from the stable visit last weekend. Was 33-1, tipped by Hugh Taylor on ATR, now about 11-1.

4.25pm - This is the sort of race I love, loads of info to be taken from this race and my sort of trip speciality. Interested in Cape Caster, Hymenaios and Romsdal in particular, will look at Inca Drum and Kisanji too.

No interest in last 2 races.

O'gorman

Not a great profile O'Gorman rarely wins but has ability always hovering in the low 80s and only 2 from 26.He's never won on the aw although been touched off twice from 9 runs and two other runs like todays no luck in running, his race was over after getting baulked from the break but finished full of running.
What would interest me would be if he runs this way round either lingfield or wolves. On the aw he's only had 9 runs the three times he's gone left handed he was second from a poor draw at wolves beaten a nk and the other two runs over this c/d unlucky in running today and again last season behind picansort getting stopped in running in the straight and still finishing strongly.
I think the stable should be running him on these tracks as he looks far better horse think they are missing opportunitys and his one run at chester he was second just touched off as 3yr old off 80.After his 25 races you would think the stable would've noticed his runs at these tracks where he looks better and has been unlucky in every race..

They could all run well although looking at todays draws the spring mile and lincoln looked huge advantage to be stands side 15,16,18,11,19 in the spring mile and the Lincoln although winner drawn 3 was on standside rail draw came up 3,22,20,18,14,16.

I can see sir Reginald following the trend in the betting going off around 6/1 fav if the draw stays high I've taken all the 12s and 10s and will keep taking the 9s!!Not to many amongst the highs I can see shortening dramatically looks obvious trade,if the draw did even out then flyman would look ok from the 1 draw as well.

Nothing of much note on the first flat meeting of the season, but will just give this maiden a mention was run at a true pace and was over 1.5 seconds quicker than both older handicap winners magnolia ridge rated 67 and memory cloth rated 70.Just as a guestimate you could sat they've run to marks of 80 with the older horses so they maybe worth watching out for again although will be equally running against unexposed types over the trip next time out.The second would probably look a decent bet in a maiden probably worth looking out for mark as winner just incase the form gets underestimated and the third nice debut run could well improve or be as good as winner on next run..

Joey's destiny

Anything finshing well or close up over the last 2 days is worth marking up as nearly all the winners and places were with the pace in general so joey's destiny was one of the biggest eyecatchers of the two days.Flyman looked the horse to watch out for pre race as last run of the 2013 season had been 3rd to morache music and spinatrix off 90 with only the 10 runs.
Flyman was just off the pace from the 1 draw, infact there was little pace from the highs which made gave them little chance of figuring in the race sir reginal did well to get 4th and baby strange was an eyecatcher having to switch several times but from handicapping perspective they will be hard to win with.Joey's destiny is only rated 81 was out the back early and was nearest finish to finish second plenty of opportunities off this mark as 4yr old like winner only 10 runs and open to improvement.....

An eyecatching win as it was debut run and hacked up the winning distance could easily have been another 4-5ls and the previous two handicaps might be point to his potential mark on this run.His winning time only .18 slower than manchestar winning off 8-9 rated 72 and the second div 1.06 seconds slower than hilly billy boy rated 82 carrying 9-5.His win looked the equivalent of hillybilly boy which would suggest he's probably run around the 90 mark already. After this win will be running against similar types probably won't be any value but worth checking out the mark he gets as there could be a fair bit of improvement on top as well.

Red primo
Incurs four faults

Hopefully this race will get underestimated and the winner and second may end up well handicapped the runner up only rated 39 after three runs showing nothing. The winner was impressive on debut and could've won by a far greater distance, the following handicap won by klynch was only .35 quicker klynch off lowest mark since june 2011 so looked extremely well handicapped off 75 and adding more substance to the maiden time. The marks of the winner and runner up in the maiden are going to be very interesting the second equally as only rated 39 tried to make all passed by winner 2fs out but then again really picking up again at finish.
Incurs four faults is bred for further as well so can only improve with step up in trip and with their following marks likely to be underestimated they could also be worth following onto the turf.To look at first glance the form looks very weak and hopefully that will reflected in prices,it looks a classic race where the handicapper cannot be to harsh and might get caught out!!

Emerald breeze
Hustle bustle

Probably one of the weakest races you will ever see witth absolutely no form in the race whatsoever, biscuiterr in third the benchmark for the race only runner with any form. The form of the first two though may infact be quite good for this grade, biscuiteer being beaten further than any of her previous 4 runs on the surface and the first two were value for those distances.
Emerald breeze had first time blinkers and this was only 6th ever run,the time for a horse winning off a mark of just 46 although nothing special was respectable for the grade, looking at these grade races run there recently compares well.Even if she got a rise of 9 pound would still be able to run in these she should be able to win more races, she could've been called the winner 3fs out and quite interesting to see how much more there is to come.
Similiarly hustle bustle, she's also only had the 3 runs but she hadn't run since
june 2013 she only sits on 50 also so could well comer on for the run,the first two looked class apart. There are plenty of these weak races for the taking for the pair of these and they actually could be mildly progressive in lowest level
