Blazeofenchantment

One of the strangest rides I've seen in a long time,so bad you would think it couldn't possibly be deliberate but looking at iot several times there can be no excuse. On leaving the stalls after 50 yards jock was looking over his shoulder which seems strange on viewing as he'd already lost a few lengths,he then proceeded to drop drop him out further and even allowed officer in command to pass him so he could go on the rail and canter round.
The horse has only just joined the stable, probably unbackable after this run as it was so blatant pretty sure it will be a few runs before it's allowed to run its race as was noticed by everyone. One to keeop in notebook, probably around October...:D

Bascked it at 33s lasty time out,its last run was different class only royal holiday could beat it on previous aw form, got 6/1 and 13/2 probably double the price it should've been..

He ran just like the last day, scrubbed along early, comes stand side and just gallops them into the ground. Well done fella. Be interesting to know what he traded IR both times. Seems to relish the beach

Royal holiday was always going to either win it from the front or set the race up for it royal holiday hasn't been at its best either,i backed the pair and did the fcast,i knew after 4fs that it was going to win!!

An interesting sprint and think it will throw up plenty of winners, the time of this race was .65 slower than the previous days 2yr old race run there but the ground was a lot slower so comparituively these could be different class. The previous nights class 2 3yr old handicap was only .03 slower than todays Victoria cup and although that race was reasonable they were pretty exposed 3yr olds the time difference only .03 between them and the 102 rated progressive gabriels lad.The other races also on the card showing how the ground had gone from good to good/sft through the day, backing up the 5f race times.
The winner moonraker was the only runner to go with the pace and finish in the first 5 the next four all finishers so even better performance, although the haggas horse mubtaghaa had to be switched wide so the looked of comparative ability. Some lovely pedigress the winner related to group therapy, half brother bungle in the jungle 108,muarrab 113 and waveband.Winslow staying on at finish us pedigree half brother breders cup juvenile new years day 118,dam 113 and the 4th was an eyecatcher not getting clear run the hannon second string slightly better than this run as stopped in run.To add a bit more substance to the form, the paco kid was easily brushed aside in 6th betaen over 7ls and he had been 4th to kasb on debut in newbury race that has already thrown up 3 winners and unlucky loser in kibaar. This maiden along with last weeks at Newmarket look the best 2yr old seen so far by some way!!!

Stroll patrol
Primrose valley
To lesser degree looking out for marks in nurserys the 4th and 5th
Some show

A weak looking fillies maiden at first glance but a very interesting time and with two less fashionable trainers finishing first and second this form will probably get underestimated and they should be overpriced. The winner has an rpr of 74 and the runner up only 62,yert the time of this race was a second quicker than the the other 2yr old maiden won by 74 rated speedy move and also a second quicker than the older handicap which was run at decent clip. The winner of the older handicap could be anything and could be 2stone in but taking the runner up as the marker castorienta rated 69 the fillies current marks are looking very generous.Stroll patrol currently has an rpr of 74 no reason for it go up on this form and the runner up primrose valley was beaten 2 1/2ls easily she may go up 3 pounds for this run to around 65.They look very useful for nurserys off 74 and 65 on these times, plus under unfashionable trainers Mcbride and Vaughn. The form of primrose valley with 3/2/2 will be likely be dismissed yet tonight she has shown on the clock she is improving on turf over a fast 6fs.
There should be some nice value with these two in nurserys, what will alsio be interesting will be the marks of runners in behind as although beaten 6ls 3/4/5th they have still run near the time of the other maiden winner and hamdicap so they could be on really nice marks and with the Jarvis horse solstalla given an easy race on debut in 6th as well.An insignificant looking maiden that could throw up some real value!!

G force

I had already put g force on here when he won at Newcastle with monster speedfigure he's been stepped up from handicap company since in too listed and now group company.Only runner in the race today that could've given sole power a race, was travelling equally well as sole power 2fs out till sole power veered over forcing him towards standside. He then had to follow the same route as sole power, getting stopped in run and hampered was full of running wouldn't have won but was second best in the race. He's still only had 7 lifetime runs and is improvong with every race, probably next season will be his best season but he may still pick up a major prize before the end of the season, wether in handicap or a group race over 5fs on gd/fm ground there aren't any bar todays winner to beat him..

Mr win

Don't know if mr win will be any value now as will be taking on similarly progressive horses in the high 70s but was unfortunate today in running aghainst tommys secret he looked absolutely chucked in and hard to believe the betting was so lobsided in the race.On previous run tommys secret had been staying on 4th to older horses rated in 70s and 80s at goodwood, yet mr win went off 1/2,tommys scret was even off 7 pound lower mark with the claim and the form had been franked by despot a place behind him at goodwood.Despot won on sunday hacking up off 80 by 4 1/2ls.With the form looking so good and mr win conceding 6 pound to the winner, the pace was not great either and the very good time mr win won in at lingfield it maybe worth giving him a chance as possibly could go off bigger than expected after getting beat at a short price today..

Karaka jack

Worth noting a few for the beginning of the turf season, the above race showing how capable he is on his day although doesn't win as often as you would expect.A lot of that is through his consistency since hid first ever run in sept 2009 he's never dropped below 73 and the majority of those seasons been stuck in low 80s so always running in very competiotive handicaps.
He's quite unique as most horses are deliberately run down the field to get to winning marks whereas nicholls persists with keeping him running well in higher grade handicaps.
He ran this week at swell a strange entry as usually comes out in april, has also never been allowed to race into November so has always had a 5 month break.Quite significant that he has come back the last two seasons in april,2012 winning off 81 then 4th to captain bertie in the spring mile then last season again comeback run in april winning off 73 the coming 2/1/2 in consecutive runs, plus later in season the above run.I can see him returning in april again more than likely Donny again where both wins came as well,he could well be underestimated in betting and with ground pretty immsterial worth a bet..

I noticed today, the nunthorpe was only .04 quicker than the 3yr old handicap today which probably points to the nunthorpe being a very weak renewal as opposed to any real strength in the 3yr old race.Probably explains proximity of first 8 as well and nothing running on bar winner and g force so maybe the form of g force not as good as first appears..:ninja:

TAAJUB

Couple of eyecatchers in this race one was dungannon already on my to follows for ascot and the other was taajub probably one of the biggest eyecatchers I've seen in sometime.Adam Kirby deliberately dropping taajub out,in doing so getting shuffled back and losing 6ls yet finished the race on the bridle.Looked by far the best horse in the race and could well go unnoticed, fairly progressive sprinter last season as well especially on faster ground.Last three previous runs on gd/fm taajub had been 2nd to barnet fair off 98,2nd to desert law off 100 and followed that with 3rd to swiss spirit and kingsgate native in group race. His form is starting to look better on firmer ground and there looks a nice handicap to be won was ridden with that in mind today and maybe seen in listed races, there's a possibility could be better than ever.

From last season has been regressuive, this was his only decent run on the turf last season has now dropped to 85,although did win on the aw off this mark in February. As mentioned above was rated 103 in 2012 he doesn't appear to have that ability anymore, todays race at Newmarket wasn't a great race for the grade. There appeared to be a bias towards the standside all the winners and places in earlier races were filled by low draws. It maty have been just the best hoprses were drawn well as mr win and angekl flores both off my to follows were chucked in and drawn 1,2 and tropics best horse and form in the listed race along with alben star drawn 1 and reckless abandon on rail drawn 2.
In saying that nothing at all finished well up the centre of the track in those races, wheras the last race with taajub drawn 12 and angelito drawn 11 the both finished well up the centre of the track.Taajub came from a mile back so was biggest eyecatcher, the most interesting thing was the winner holley shiftwell drawn 14 also but switched to standside and absolutely motored when on the rail so maybe the bias was there through the whole afternoon. Will take a posituive for taajub for the time being, looks totally unreliable but is in right grade and if the draw was a big disadvantage then obviously the run can be upgraded.

Ayr gold cup Jack dexter 20/1 sjames, hills

Will keep backing jack dexter if prices are bigger with other books at the moment 20/1 doesn't seem a great prices has fallen short in group races this season.I'm not entirely sure that's purely down to ability some races such as York ran terrible,on very soft ground there aren't many handicappers as good even though he's off 110.The above race was after his 3rd to highland colori in the gold cup,on this softer ground he looked different class giving them 4ls start and 6 pound to runner uop and 11 pound to spinatrix. This sort of ground will if on the day completely change the market as the front 8/9 in the betting want ideally good ground at worst and if that's the case jack dexter won't run anyway. If the ground comes up soft he will be half this price back in a handicap with so many of the runners with ground against them.Hopefully some books will go 25s over the next week as well..

Hard to be confident about John Quinn's runners but he's smart enough to have kept The Wow Signal isolated as a precaution.

See no reason why he can't continue his winning ways in the Prix Morny so I'm getting stuck in again.

The Wow Signal (nap) 5/2

Red aggressor

A 5 yr old now and been onn downgrade since 2 2yr old when he was runner up in maidens to smart horses such as Arnold lane, rebellious guest,9th incoventry and last decent run on turf 5th in listed race. That was back inn October 2011,omly raced twice in 2012 march 2013 was runner up at lingfield on the aw off 85 then ran well at Kempton in decent race off 85 even though only 6th beaten 1 1/2ls.Today sluiced up off 68 probably wasn't much early pace but 2 of the runners in behind had been in lifetuime best form not including the unexposed artistic quuen. He's worth risking now in form to see if he can match his aw marks he l;ooked to have plenty in hand today and may just win a couple more.

Yet another nice filly this season,i was going to sto adding on 2yr olds but looking at recent listed races and group 3s I think the formlines although working out to a certain degree are pretty weak bar the 5/6 outstanding 2 yr olds so there should be some stronger 2 yr olds to come.
This fill winning by 10ls on debut the time of the race was over a second quicker than the following 3yr old maiden winner debutant and also .90 quicker than serenity spa rated 76 winning the older handicap.I was raining through the afternoon but she must be surely listed class at least as one of the best debut times of the season and as mentioned the listed races as looking ver weak, plus she's proven on soft ground for the autumn..

Tiger jim

Very lightly raced 4yr old trained by jim goldie and could be more to come with just the 7 runs, today ran over 6fs which looked strange dropping back in trip and upped in class.Had started on the aw showing very little and then making up a lot of ground on debut this season although beaten a lon way in 6f maiden again on good ground, was upped to 7fs and won a weak handicap at Donny.Todays trip and class didn't justify being a 7/4 shot plus the ground was virtually gd/fm race was fasrt by.96 seconds but still he ran well in 4th off 71.There looks like there could be more to come out of sire tiger hill at the moment hard to know what his best trip will be,he may have run even better today on softer ground an interesting handicapper still off nice looking mark.

Weakest grade race for 3yr olds, the winner looked well handicapped in winning but will be out of this grade next time out and may well win again. The most promising thing about the race was the time 1m12.30 a respectable time looking at this years 6f races and in the lowest grade, the runner up rated 56 with just 9 lifetime runs shown very little previously and the third just rated 53 with 7 lifetime runs.If they repeat this form then no reason why they both can't win in this grade,it looks as though the fast pace and track suited so it maybe their best chances will be back over c/d with guaranteed pace. They look worth a couple of chances back on this track.

I did say in the write up was raining all afternoon that serenity spa race was an hour later was .90 slower,Just taking it as the maiden running the same time would put it near a 100.Plus the fact only 1/2 hour after the maiden was well over a second quicker than the muir winner which could also be decent in the 3yr old race that won by 4/1/2ls.

An extremely poor handicap, the times yesterday at lingfield were extremely quick but today it looks as though they came nearer to standard looking at the rest of the card so for using formwise probably more reliable. These two were up the front throughout and dominated winner off 47 and runner up first race of the season, the time for this grade of race was very respectable for such lowly rated horses. At least on this surface there should be plenty of opportunities off current marks and they could even run up sequences with slight improvement over this c/d.Both will be rated in the low 50s and can even drop a grade..

Yet another 2yr old filly impressive visually hardly having a race hacking up and for the ease of the win a reasonable time almost a second quicker than the following handicap for 3yr old although winner of that race only rated 58 don't think the time comparisons mean to much it just means this filly looks like she could be decent. She had the typical markings that a lot of the Johnston horses have and they always catch my eye when they run like sir frank morgan you can just see they are going to be progressive and probably the only trainer that I intensely follow.
Mark johnstons had only jungle bay that's been much good on the 2yr old front, she may well be hios best although the fillies this season are exceptional so it will be interesting to see where she ranks among them.I certainly won't be underestimating her..

A decent looking time on the new surface for low grade race, the first 3 running wide throughout and pulling 7ls clear of the field. The winner and runner up looked exposed but the winner hasn't ad many chances over this trip and the runner up has dropped from a mark of 72 on the aw to 62 and the third has only had 4 runs currently off 65.There shouldn't be any reason why the winner can't win again seemed to have a little in hand and equally off these marks on this new surface the second and third should pick up one of these in current form.
