Shadows ofthenight

A weak race with not much pace, shadows ofthenight may turn out to be the best horse in the race though as race wasn't run to suit and she did have the weakest jockey in the race riding as well picking up to be nearest at finish, these aren't the sort of races I follow much as falsely run but they usually are very weak and take very little winning.Off current mark of 67 after this loss wouldn't appear to be particularly well handicapped but only has the 9 lifetime runs so far and two on the aw ran poorly at lingfield, the sire is most interesting fastnet rock has 16% strike rate from just small sample so far on aw but 2/9 on tapeta with 87% roi.She will definitely be coming back to wolves and she may win a race or two and could be overpriced next time out,the negative for her is she looks very small so I doubt she will take a lot of racing....

Emell

Emell hacking up in this race stopped numerous times throughout the final 2fs a classic unlucky run at goodwood, didn't look well handicapped off 105 but won so easily at haydock in first time blinkers it looked like that had broght him back to best and backed up by todays race.Off 105 obviously will take some doing to win these competituive handicaps, but last season was runner up to bow creek in the celebration mile with 112 horses rated in behind,i can see him going for other handicaps but with the blinkers combination and apparent liking for goodwood think he'll be back here over coming months..

Scalzo

Only second ever run by scalzo and seasonal appearance for martyn meade himself turing into decent trainer of sprinters for small stable, tonight hacking up by 4 1/2ls drawn on stanside and probably travelling anothyerr couple of lengths further by wandering over to farside. The time seemed decent as well only .48 slower than the class 3 older handicap won by meshardal(78) but carrying 7 pound more will probably be given a mark of 80 after this easy win which with lots of 3yr old handicaps around will be hard to spot as value with so many new horses but he could be value under this trainer.Anything below 80 he would look nicely handicapped, the second of bowrings foolaad might also be worth watching out for and eventually get a nice low mark, first run as 4yr old was given an easy time in behind, might be another couple of runs down the field and worth noting..

Bop it

Strange ride on bop it,was prominent and still in contention but not ridden out in final furlong, whether this was intentional or just maybe the ground was a little to quick was hard to tell but looked like the gelding should've been fighting out for the places.Geoff oldroyds got him now from O'Meara stable after this race will be on lowest mark since august 2013 when ran off 78,just purely for the fact its the oldroyd stable he could be bigger prices than he should be and this run will be overlooked. He should be big prices 33s tonight,so there's some potential for big prices and if as it looked wasn't given hard race then off this mark with a bit of cut and at best on straight tracks then worth a few bets may even get knocked down to 75 with another run if persisted with on faster ground..

Bold lass

This was run in a very slow time and even though the winner won easily it probably reflects how poor this race was but the running of bold lass on its turf form can be scrubbed.Absolutely hacking up at Leicester a second quicker then the second div also the same time as the 3yr old maiden winner and 1.19 seconds quicker than the older handicap on the card.I would be very surprised if bold lass wasn't extremely well handicapped tobight running off 76 could still be well infront of the handicapper and as seen kin numerous occasions switching to different surfaces as the winner can make such a big difference.Probably be next season now for bold lass as will probably avoid softer ground and after tonights run will be hopefully underestimated!!

In she goes again, three wins since put up back in 2013 from the 6 runs I did say back in july she was a 90 horse winning today off 91 and that maiden above she won on debut was quicker than token of loves on the same day again the clock pointed to her being thrown in even just on debut run, looks like listed races for her now...

Three gracez

A very weak race but the time was very respectable for such a low grade race, the 57 rated winner always looked the winner and the filly had only the 3 runs the time was .79 quicker than the first div these two winners will be on the same mark nrxt time out so the filly looks good value for at least another win and she is open to plenty of improvement.
The tracks been running extremely quick even taking that into account she won with a bit in hand and a mark of 64/65 will still look well in she travelled well and lingfield may also suit, the 7fs looks her ideal trip also..

Bushcraft

A massive eyecatching run after 625 days and heavily backed, the 84 rated 4yr old trailing by 3/4ls with 2fs to go and really motoring at finish, wouldv'e won by 3-4ls in another 50 yards but only winning by a nck so a very small rise for the colt and looking on this run well handicapped. The time was .11 quicker than major crispies winning the first div so makes the form lokk even better and the last time bushcraft was seen was august 2013 when 2nd to blithe spirit on gd s/sft ground that horse is now rated 90 recent runner up to spoinatrix and that day bushcraft conceded 13 pound. The ground was on the fast side of good today but that previous run shows he goes on both types of ground and could yet be anything...

Fujiano

Fujiano looked an unlucky loser in this race, drawn 2 on far side missing break to run uop the centre of track where field congregated. After 3fs she was switched to stanside side from where she started to where she finished she must've conceded numerous lengths.Even just from stall 2 to standside she must've conceded 4ls so looks a winner without a penalty as beaten just sh/hd at finish. The reall strange thing at Leicester is on the straight track this sesson the jockeys have shunned the stands side, makes absolutely no sense that at least a few would've gone that route as usually an advantage. The ground has rarely been on the quick side this season bar one meeting and the going fcasts seem to be wrong every meeting, today gd gd/fm yet at best was gd.
Whether she was at an even more disadvantageous route coming standside I very much doubt, but it does show how race after race the jocks are getting it wrong unless of course she's numerous lengths more on top of her slow start better than these.Very doubtful and worth bearing in mind for future meetings when not watered as the standside in all probability is an advanytage although still not a negative on her run.If she repeats this run she should win and will still be in this lower grade with a slight rise..

Two consecutive maidens run in very similar times, the most interesting thing were yesterdays times compared to todays times over the same trip and what should've been quicker ground today as well after another dry day.
I'm going to treat the form with slight caution as all the above have run within
.50 of a second of both of todays class 4 winners rated 77 cruisetothelimit actually carried a pound less than yesterdays runners. The second div won by triple chocolate rated 83 carried 3 pound more, with all the improvement to come for yesterdays runners on top these times pointing to these maidens being well above average. They could all be very interesting runners in nurserys and get extremely good marks one or two of them could well be listed class, although it would be hard to say that any of the five stood out as they all looked very similar..

See how these get tested in handicaps this season, american artist had already won and beaten since others havn't run..

Speculative bid

Only 6 lifetime runs and after long lay off of 291 days the gelding hacking up off 82 probably one of the most impressibve winners seen all season on the aw he won this with the look of listed class horse and was backed up by the time of 1m23.84 very quick considering ease of win and after having given 6ls start.I can see him coming back to this track for future bigger prizes,he will go up 8 pound for this win which will underestimate his win as he could be anything on the aw and could be running in the loisted races here neasr the end of the season..

Russian realm

Usually lots of eyecatchers in these races at ascot but winner and runner up just looked far better than the field although Russian realm was massive eyecatcher through most of the race appeared to be hacking up to the 2f pole was drawn 24 but finished over with the lower draws that never got into the race. The gelding wasn't given a hard race once huighes realized he was knowhere near the horses at front end,he may have just found nothing anyway but was hand's n' heels for last furlong and he was only one of the first 14 home that hadn't had a run either, also was disqualified last season when with stoute for substance in system so now with O'Meara and another run looks interesting runner.

Rocco's delight
Moonadee

Some strange times on the card with the 2 maidens quicker than the class 4 opver a mile especially when you look at other placed horses in those races making them 80 horses
and then this 7f race for poor handicappers rated upto 70 this weak looking handicap was only .23 sower than twin appeals race rated 85 for iolder horses and the 3yr old only carried slightly less weight. It maybe the headwind and where they raced on the track just flatters them in the 3yr old race and form maybe worthless but comparatively to the rest of the card was fastest race so will keep coming back to it and see if these two frank the times. The winner was only rated 60 and runner up 64,the second div won by my to follows hiorse three gracez won in a time 1.67 seconds slower in following race so maybe the form is reasonable for grade, the ground was very slow though so wether these two will get same conditions for awhile unlikely as well so maybe worth noting for autumn...
