Peacock

Peacock hadn't looked anything special until 3rd to nafaqa and toocoolforschool, the winner now rated 109 after runner up to elm park and the runner up rated 113 after 7l win
in a group 2 obviously the mile trip today has shown to suit peacock whether he can make an impact in group races against the plethora of good 3yr olds this season probably unlikely as so many decent improvers,it looks like the 3yr old races are going to be very competotive this season. What might be more interesting is oif he can't make an impact on the turf and returns to the aw,he absolutely hacked up today, the time very good for 4 horse race probably what you would expect for horse rated 106 but there was a lot more to come and on these surfaces he should be one to follow.Todays winning time was .19 quicker than the older class 2 handicap, probably what you would expect but the time doesn't really do him justice as couldv'e been 4/5ls better than that form which would be exceptional. The sire paco boys just starting to run up a profile on these surfaces these may well be where he picks up the nice prizes and a possibility he may just be tried out on dirt as well which would leave even more options.
I would be keeoping a close eye on him especially if the turf races are to good for him as there looks an alternative option for him and he could be group class on dofferent surfaces. At worst i would expect to see him back at kempton for a few of the aw listed races run later in the year, perhaps optimistically to see if he improves enough maybe for even breeders cup...

Risk n' reward

A desperate race winner rated 49 and runner up rated 51 the runner up had never run on turf so you could excuse all previous form and the winner although harder to excuse previous form between them they still only had 12 runs so wouldn't be major surprise if they were far better than current marks. The winner sluiced up,ashley morgan knew he was going to win this even though only as mentioned the filly only rated 49,the ground may well have been the major factor as on slow side. There was a further 9ls back to the third which gives the form a bit of substabnce and although the previous race for horses rated upto 75 wasn't run at a great pace this very poor handicap was only .10 slower than that race.It will be interesting to see if these runs are repeated as they do look like horses that could run up sequences starting from rock bottom and the second was first run for new trainer.
A lot of these course winners at Yarmouth only seem to act on these sort of tracks so if not racing here I'd be looking at styraight 7f races, the wall horse looks like she will get a mile but 7fs looks her right trip. They may just win a few more between them

Make that 3 for risk n' reward this season!!!:ninja:

Kingscroft

Bit of a veteran now kingscroft and now with Michael herrington, should've won at wolves over a mile back in October off 80 given a poor ride is not as good as he once was but still runs consistenbtly well around the high 70s won on the flat last sesson off 72 but was placed off 80 several times and then the run behind almanac at wolves as mentioned above. He seems to love this track is 3/11 and 5 other places, has already proven he likes the new surface and tonight was hacking up in this race but got no run throughout final furlong, surprisingly as has looked better over a mile in recent times and they didn't go that quick in this race only .44 quicker than earlier race won by poppy bond although the 1st and 2nd in that race were probably decent for the grade. He was hacking up for the last furlong of this race and again he may get another drop in weights, currently off 76 and a return to this surface with trainer not appearing to be in greatest of form he should be overpriced,if he gets a pound drop he will be off 75 and will be able to run off his lowest mark since march 2011 when he won here over the 7fs..

KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKAAAAABBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!Think they run these to my write ups!!!:ninja:Have some of that, didn't take long exactly as planned!!;)

Winner without a penalty and dropped a pound, backed it at 10s,9s,8s and 7s aklso backed hardy black at 22 s and 20s that returned 9s as well, looked 4 horse race to me those two plus gold club zilch value and the fav, think that conditions race was carp..

Neutron bomb

First significant time of the season, had to double check this as time seems overy quick for 3yr old fillies maiden,it was .70 quicker than the older handicap on the card won by
duelling dragon rated 75 and the fillies carried 3 pound more so the time looks suspiciously quick.Very rare to see a small field of fillies bettering a class 4 handicap.at this point will have to take a positive view of the result for now if taken at face value you could equate marks of 90 yet their rpr were only 64 and 63 before todays race, the 3rd neutron bomb was only debut run which makes that run look even better.Don't know what the handicapper will do with these but if these times work out, they could be very well handicapped I'm pretty sure they won't be given marks over 80 I'm not even sure they will be given marks over 75 but it is pure speculation..

Pipers note

Incredible performance by steel river not just winning but looking different class to these probably one of the most impressive winners on the aw this season and when you think he was rated just 69 on the 27th of september he sluices up here off 87 and looked like a 100 horse all under new trainer Michael; herrington. The previous run when he won at wolves over 7fs was a massive pointer as he was on to follows fastest time I could remember a 75 horse winning at wolves but in doing so hacked up,the form tonight looks similarly strong yet another cracking time 1m10.94 and the ease he won looks like he will be going into listed races for the rest of the aw season. The runner up had won 4/13 races on the turf was first run on the aw tonioght and has been progressing through the season looks to be improving so would think will be running also throughout the aw season. There was a further 2 1/4ls back to the third secondo also lightly raced so the form not just backed up by the time but with runners and distances in behind.

Thanks for the 10/1!!!:cool::p

Trouble with long waited it's a cliff horse always looks like winning but never does, might even be on to follows not sure but just looks impossuible to back I'd backed the winner at 10s and bogart art 6/1 fcasts tricasts the 1,2,3,4 draws. Also had faydhan and home of the brave running off to follows today, kicking myself as l;ooked an ew steal 1t 13/2 last night, there were 3 horses running at Newmarket today crying out for soft ground the warrior, faydhan and marsh hawk and ground went against them..

Speaking of cliff horses there were some cowboys taking 11/4 Ershaadaat from the 10 box last night. I'm almost wondering was it a put away to bury the Fahey horse today.

An interesting stat for anyone writing off fayhdan, the sire has never had a winner in spring no winners in march, april or may it's almost as though gosdens let it run to the stats and also an rpi of 110% at ascot although that's just the 2 runners the summer months roi is 63%...

I read the site wrong there were some winners in may but non in march or april ,which still suggests a pointer that gosden had no intention of trying to win that race with any conviction..

Gosden must be gutted absolutely chucked the water on today, normality is resumed on the turf already...

A decent looking maiden wuth the front 3 finishing clear and the winning time only 1.2 seconds slower than robot boy breaking the track record, although the ground was pretty quick that still looks a pointer to the 2yr olds being listed class at least with normal improvement. The winner from the Meehan stable, hasn't had much in recent times and they rarely win first time out so could expect a lot more improvement, the runner up a filly so probably equally interesting as not yet even 2 these two set the benchmark almost definitely ascot bound. This early season maiden hasn't been that good in recent times,i think this race looks better race than the last 3/4 years..

Intilaaq

Most impressive winner of the season and backed up by the clock, intilaaq out of dynaformer on debut run of the season and only second lifetime run hacking up by 8ls and the winning time only .67 slower than the older and carrying 10pound more than 96 rated ayaar winning the spring handicap he looked better than those horses and yet only his 2nd 3yr old run.I was hoping his mark get underestimated as obviously is a group horse he could easily be a 110 horse on this run was hoping he may slip under the radar around the 100 mark, but looking at entrys in derby, dante and irish classics then disappointingly will probably not have an opportunity at one of the ascot handicaps.Im saying that the horses at the head of most of the big races are looking disappointing and the races are becoming wide open,he has proved today to have loads of improvement to come and might be worth looking at for the bigger races at hopefully somke big prices.....

I can't remember the last time I was this blown away with a horse. Can't see anyone missing it to let him be a big price without stepping into group company.

The only reason I note these are in hope that the handicappers lenient, for example if this was put on a mark of a 100 would look great for an ascot handicap especially if took on older horses they don't really interest me the group races they are just to competitive and there's very rarely any value with so many improvers.Think this things now 25/1 fot the derby the classics and all those high profile group races I very rarely even look at,i;m just looking for handicappers mistakes..

I'd give him time to recover and go for St James or Irish 2000 guineas as always a danger these horses bounce after performances like that.
