Daily picks.

Think with my health problems and the combination of unusable sites will be unable to do the turf this season, although I will be doing the 2yr olds and following closely for ante post bets etc,may delve into older horse sprints 5/6fs but won't be abler to do anymore than that and whatever aw meetings are on,going to be a quiet season...
I'm heading in the same direction. I've only done the Lincoln this weekend. Faffing about trying to find a site that works for me (thanks are due, though, to certain forumites who've been beavering away behind the scenes trying to help). Also having problems with eye strain & headaches trying to read minuscule text from the RP printouts. I think I'm in for a very quiet time of it and seriously thinking of packing it in.

I don't do it for the money or need to it's just to keep myself occupied, that's the reason I first came onto the forum as had other health issues, but even though I had my best ever season in 2015 I've known for last 4/5 years something was not right and has taken numerous visits to hospitals for various tests to finally diagnose ms so I now have that on top of existing problems as well. That at the moment isn't much of a problem bar tiredness, but when you can't get the right tools on top of it,i can't do everything I've been doing for 20 years I do 90% of the races in the summer and price every race up I don't know anyone who does or maybe ever has tried to cover so much but that's where you get amassive edge by trying to absorb everything.
I have to keep doing this though in some capacity or I would go insane, before I finally pack in I want to have one huge tiouch and hopefully it will be on here with loads involved although likely to happen on the aw now unless at some point these sites make things easier...

That's a hell of an effort Gigs - I struggle to price up every type of a certain race in France and there's probably only 15-20 I can bet on per week at most, the rest are all minor meetings and I've yet to find a way of getting on or rather yet to find a person in France who can get on for me on track and doesn't mind driving to the course to do so!!Martin

Sorry to read that you have ms Andy, know a few people with it, presume you've got a slowly progressive version if you've known for a while that something isn't right. Hope it doesn't affect you too much except for being tired all the time, good luck with it.
Are you having a little bet on the horse in the Apprentice race at Donny, i know he's not your favourite jockey!

I backed donncha back when you first notified him at 20-1 on betfair sportsbook and today the bet has mysteriously vanished and of course his price is 8-1. Has this ever happened to anybody before?

Are you looking at the market for today's race whereas your bet will be in the antepost market? They put up a new book for the race but your antepost bet should still be in there somewhere.

Does the PMU cover the type of races you bet on?

Sorry to hear about your health problems Gigilo. Like others on here, I've followed your tips and benefited hugely from them, so thanks a lot for sharing your efforts. I really appreciate it. I owe you big time

Wishing you great power in dealing with your illness. Stay strong mate.

Balmoral handicap 4.25 Ascot

Doncha maybe worth a small bet can't see to many outstanding in this years race, last time oput hadn't run for 2 months and although was behind firmament that race was over 7fs at ascot looked beat 3furlongs on but still was staying on at finish so respectable comeback run.Last year was a big eyecatcher in this race obviously loves this c/d mile mile not getting a clear run from the near side group where there was less pace motoring at finish the mile here looks perfect trip so stamina amnd ground issues seem ideal, strictly on that form has 3 1/2ls to find with gm Hopkins but would've been close between then with clear run.The rest of donnchas form hasn't compared really bar the last time run here over the inadequate 7fs,looks a tiny bit of value on last years run even though on strict formlines has a little to find with a couple,16s at the moment seems fair anything bigger would be too far to big..
If the draw does favour lows certainly wouldn't surprise me if master of the world ran ok always races with the pace 3rd in racelast year and although appears badly handicapped
looking through the field doesn't appear to be loads of pace on so could surprise and hit the frame.

The Lincoln

I do like morando as was an eyecatcher in the above race and looked under pressure but was picking up again looked open to loads of improvement but is 7/1,plus I put yuften up for the aw finals at 14/1 is even shorter to win the Lincoln at 12s but fit and still well handicapped on old form.I completely forgot about this race last year when donncha looked to be coming through to maybe win the race, ran ok on comeback run last season when 2nd at Donny in the spring mile,5th in a listed handicap at York,3rd to franklin d at goodwood, ran well behind librisa breeze over inadequate 7fs at ascot then the run behind yuften plus a respectable 4th in a listed race behind estidkhaar.Doesn't look as though as a specific ground preference ran well at Donny in the spring mile after exactly same break as this coming season, also hasn't been over raced and last season showed its most improvement.Morando looks the obvious improverbut no reason why donncha couldn't run well,i havn't really looked at the race I just remember the above race being very unlucky. If anyone can find a link I can wath the above race that actually works would be handu as I can't,i just remember it from memory and also mirando being an eyecatcher as well...

Into 10s now, probably going to be even shorter come the day, unfortunately spencer rides, just incase anyone wants to lay some off and hasn't seen latest prices through all the clutter...

Almost took the roof off first bet of the season, almost got 4 figures ew at 20s on as prices were up early enough, nice little touch decent ride from spencer just unlucky again, two highs in first three as well!!!!Thanks for the repluys fellas,at least kicked off the season with another destruction job on the sp,was massive value although looked a bit suspect after the spring mile just two decent rides by winner and third. The grounds dried out and non of the really soft ground horses have had a chance reflected in the times..

Thought Spencer was excellent on him. He was the last off the bridle. The winner just got a better run down the inner.

1.45 Donny

Finn class might be worth a token bet, still looks like the highs are at a disadvantage the rides in the licoln the 1st and 3rd were dropped out to come up the middle so that is the ride finn class would need, also the ground maybe on the quick side for him plus a furlong shorter than his best form.He did run well last seasion though I the spring milenot farbehind donncha .
He then went onto win off 88 at thirsk, there is rain forecast tomorrow which would probably would impriove chances and will probably need it on dryuing ground,at 20/1 worth a token bet..
Finn class 20/1 365

Great minds think alike and all that. ;) I must be doing summin right. )

Sorry to hear you've not been well btw, all the best to you.

Needs rain to make that price ok and even then would only be speculative over the trip marb...

Some nice looking horses to follow today although both from O'Brien stable you had Alphabet winning the maiden in a canter was only .13 slower than the 6f handicap fo horsesrated upto 100 so Alphabet conservatively the way it wn looks a 95 horse and the last winner Orderofthegarters in the maiden just run .52 quicker than the lincoln winner rated 105 could be absoplutely anything and again you could be looking at conservative 115 horse already..Might not be around during turf season so thought i'd mention them, cracking way to start the turf season maybe worth looking at some ante post bets for the latter..

Going to have to stop giving my marks for these, been given a 21 pound rise Alphabet to 96 after winning that maiden unreal taking all the value away...

Worth giving Benbati a mention even though glaringly obvious after 7l win on debut at Donny,it's worth notin and keeping for future reference as I did say would do 2yr olds but will mention impressive maiden winners like this as well if the clock says so.The maiden was won in a canter by benbati and only .12 slower than zorovan rated 80 the 3yr old carrying 8 pound more as well, this is going to be similar to the above post about Alphabet but a conservative mark of 95 with lots of improvement to come probably not alloeing for ease of win,it's always following these closely when times are so good on debuts and winning so easily as it's quite rare..A derby entry again like orderofthegarters, been a great couple of racing days for notebook horses already and they do look potential gropup horses already..

Benbati...

Immediately followed up by horse out of frankel,Dream castle probably just as impressive running really anf the time slightly quicker than Benbati so two maidens back to back with horses running conservatively to 95 on debuts,in reality 100+ was hoping they might get underestimated bt both quoted 20/1 for guines certainly wouldn't discount them will having to have some serious looks an ante post markets as will have to go back through all 2yr old form from last season..Don't think I've ever seen two maidens back to back on same track with two horses potential grioup horses on debuts..

Dream castle

Henley maybe wort a small bet has been running reasonably consistent for tracey waggott made debut for her over tomorrows c/d when running 5th to sleepy blue ocean after an 8 month break, similarly this season will be 5 months break.Generally has been running in better races than this,if the horse had more prioven on the surface then would probably only be around the 6/1 mark, this is first time run in this grade and trainers already had 3 wunners tjis season from just 17 runners, betting will be interesting from a small stable as most of the form in this race is pretty weak, dusty blue looks the obvious alternastive..

Henley 12/1 365/ppower

11/1 betbright 10/1 skybet/totesport/betfred

10/1 corals/10bet

16/1/lads/ corals/boyles..

Drifting like a barge maybe just out for the run, still worth noting though..
