American hope 20/1 Hills Balty boys 20/1 365 corals hills victor gigaset international

Again American hope showed his likh for ascot was poorly drawn in 20 and dropped out with temptress from their draws losing maybe 4-5ls to get across and trail the whole field by at least 10ls at halfway, even at finish hane Kelly wandering around unsure where to go with him ran a very good race as having to concede that start to be dropped out and then reagain momentum to even get back in the race.He gets dropped a pound for that run, other runners like chill the kite and speculative biod were also unlucky in the run eventually finishing 3rd and 5th and beating American hope, although could easily argue with level break and not conceding start he may have well been 3-4ls better than this form.

Balty boys won the race on stands side, there mustv;e been an advantage farside as finishing positions of American hope and temptress shopw,so that was a cracking run to finish 4th, he's battling off lifetime marks of 108 he could easily be argued as unluckiest horse in the race as those behind bar lincoln were miles away. The negatives could be he is very high in the weights but the way he finished it could be the 7fs not the mark is the biggest hindrance, both American hope and balty boys looked the unluckiest horses in the race and although Saturdays race will be equally hard if not better they are worth a couple of token bets, especially without knowing the draw...

Ubelievablly bad luck again for balty boys, franking his previous run showing the draw bias previous and then today the winner getting comparatively soft tow into race has prioduced his best two lifetime marks in the most competitive handicvaps back to back,as I said in the write up the trip was more likely to beat him than the mark,no hard luck storys in the race he again looked the best horse in the race bar winner..

Dakota city
Rebel smile

A huge eyecatching win by lightly raced winner only 7 lifetime runs off 62,giving them 8ls start looked a bit reluctant to race then switching round the whole field just before entering the straight how much ground he must've conceded is ridiculous and usually when you see this sort of move the horse curls up from that excelleration and drops away tamely in the last furlong,so something that is rarely seen. They went a respectable pace although winning time was nothing special track has been slow for awhile, the proximity of the rest of the field looks to hold the form down although I'm not quite sure as there were a few unexposed ones and a few that had dropped in the weifghts as well. The gelding was in first time visor so will be interesting to see if he can repeat this run,if he does then he looks automatic winner as nothing wins in that manner from that position at lingfield without tying up,the 3rd rebel smile is only on 47 seemed to travel well throughout off such a low mark and in also first time eyeshields might be another worth giving a couple of chances to as well..

Betfred mile Belgian bill 33/1 365 Two for two 33/1 victor corals

Last years race and Belgian bill was cantering through most of this race from a decent draw, not always an advantage at goodwood as red avenger showed coming up the middle of the track and Belgian bill unable to get a gap or gather momentum till last 100 yards when looking to finish with plenty in the tank. He's alreadt won off a 100 this season in meydan but remains on the same mark as last years race above when beaten a length, magic citys 5 pound higher and red avengers 4 pound higher, obviously veteran now but last year was 8/1 this year a huge looking 33s.Don't really understand why he is such a big price although will be coming back after long lay off,but at double the price of the horses that surroundedec him that day and better off in weights he looks worth a small bet, likelyhood the ground will be immaterial to him as well as long as not soft ground.
The other two for two was dropped out in last years race with bronze angel strictly looking at the race and the way it was run it would be hard to say he should've beaten red avenger and although he finished just behind bronze angekl and is 5 pound better off, bronze angel was also unlucky last years race from the 22 draw as well and I wouldn't write him off either if he'd been bigger I think he also would be worth a bet but as the O'Meara horse is 33s and double the price then will stick with his. This looks a stronger race than last years with the horses heading the market but they have yet to prtove themselves on this type of track so would rather have a couple of small bets on big prices on prioven tracjk form...

Ibn malik

Decent looking time over the 3days at Newmarket especially for 2yrold on debut, there has been watered ground over the three days not much but enough that it looked to have made the track a little slower today as the criterion was slower than solar flairs impressive win the day before, althouugh that horse could yet prove grou class as well.As always when it gets to this stage of the season yiu gets lots of 2yr old races that have similar times so you have lots of horses that are potentially 90 rated handicappers or l;isted class like the first winner at chester today of dascombes.Idon't keep track of them all as there will be 30-40 horses with similar ability all running against each other so would be too manyraces to put on here but will mention this one as the winner could be group class, the winning time today only 1.25 slower than markaz winning off 107 but the 2yr old ibn malik carrying 11 pound more, markaz also won by 1 3/4ls from hors de combat so the time looks even better and this will set the benchmark for at least the near future which probably won't be that long as july will start throwing out more times like this..He's related to all sorts of winners over all sorts of trips so a very interesting runner, could be anything.

Vintage stakes Ibn malik 8/1 ppower

As above one of the best maidens of the season the 8/1 is probably double the price I would've expected to see in any other race this season experience will be against him and like the opther runners whether he goes on the track, out of ravens pass ran well both runs at goodwood and didn't mond a bit of cut so the slight negatives regarding run on ground and track maybe ok.His maiden win was obviously a lot slower than birchwoods superlaitive win,but that was debut run the surface was far quicker when birchwood won and he carries less weight, just through normal improvement the times would look very similar and the 8/1 is without doubt the value in the race more than double birchwoods price.I expect this to be heavily backed, would imagine one of the main media tipsters to put it up and could be half that price on race day,it's just the obvious pick at the prices!!

Looking like desperate ground at goodwood 18mm of rain,so wouldn't be placing those mile race bets yet unless it drys out..

Summer stakes Oasis fantasy 10/1 ppower

Oasis fantasy probably needs to improve In tomorrows race as the 5 or 6 infront of him in the betting have been contesting better races but most of those runners have yet top prove themselves over this track and trip, whereas oasis fantasy has plenty of form at goodwood and his best run over tomorrows c/d win was second to quest for more won the Northumberland plate next time out.The probability is there will be one with a bit more class in the race, but as he has the course form he looks worth a small bet at 10/1,he won't go off this price tomorrow probably nearer 6/7-1!!!

Molecomb Kachy 8/1 ppower

Kachy taking on king of rooks and wasington dc similar to Ibn malik lots of potential especially after this debut run making the Johnston horse looking totally outclassed,if there's any potential improvers then the one in the molecomb will be kachy that may give the pair a race, like ibn malik probably needs another run but at the prices it's hard too see anything bar these three fighting out the finish.Kachy's priced at 8/1 the other two 11/8 and 9/4 absolutely no value in the front of the market and there's no guarantee both runners will perform after 4 races a piece, kachy beat the Johnston horse at chester by 2 1/4ls but looked value for numerous lengths on top of that since then the Johnston horse has won a nursery off 89 now rated 95 so would not be difficult to give the dascombe horse a rating in excess of well of a 100+.He looks a group horse waiting to happen although he may need some more experience and dascombe does have a habit of producing 2 yr olds that look half decent then going onto flop with great regularity but think hre looks a tiny bit of value in a race where bar the front two the other runners looks poor...

Both reasonable draws in 6 and 9 and both shortening, can see Belgian bill around the 16s mark by the off!!
Chill the kite 16/1 victor

Chill the kite now gets the 2 draw thoroughly exposed but comes out of the gm Hopkins race has turn around in weights and the winners drawn 18 you could quite easily argur that chill the kite should be half that price should be heavily backed on that ascot rin with balty boys franking it and mondialiste beaten a mile hacking up by 10ls at ponte on sunday. So he's worth a little bet as well against the three unexposed ones..

Great call. Unusual for a Dascombe horse to win first time out. This one obviously a bit special.

Dascombe hasn't ruined this one yet, think it won a lot easier than finishing distance as well as was cantering for most of the race probably another furlong wouldn't go amiss either, ornates turn next!!:ninja:

Betfred mile Belgian bill 33/1:D 365 Two for two 33/1 victor corals

Been a very, very good week just getting done yet again ran exact same race as last year, prices were huge and still available ion betfair just before the off!!!

Ruwaiyayan 25/1 365,victor,lads,corals,hills

Joeys destiny 40/1 victor,ppower,lads,corals

Two runners that ran well in last years stewards cup ruwaiyan travelling far side in last years race didn't get the cleaest of runs and was one of the runners to be nearest finish,he's beens lightly disappointing since although was on the wrongside in the ayr gold cup drawn 1 finishing 6th and recent run in the Wokingham only 9th.It maybe that goodwood is his track with the run above and this season again has beaten zanetto by 2 1/2ls hacking up having also major jack behind as well, that form looks good with zanetto already two close up finishes to huntsmans close this season, the 25/1 seems about right on other track form but his goodwood form he looks to have a decent cchane of hitting the frame at least although he may just be an even slightly bigger price yet.
The other from last years race is joey's destiny,a progressive profile still relatively lightly raced he was 8th in last years race,he caught my eye at the time as I could see he was improving but didn't know if he was good enough to win last years race he was slightly hampered 3 times in last years race and got no run once more as well so did well to finish 8th he could well have been 2-3ls better than this run and battling out the places
.If you go back through his form some of it now looks extremely eyecatching from early last season splitting huntsmans close and discussiontofollow with robot boy in 4th at windsor all of these were improving at the time and the first two are now first and second favs to win this years race.He also went onto win at notts having tatislu behind by 2 1/2ls and giving 10 pound now rated 97 tatislu went off fav for Wokingham.Joeys destiny sits on a mark of 95 potentially still open to improvement he's run well against horses that are almost ten pounds higher than him and have been winning and competing in the best sprints over the last 12 months. The negatives are he didn't run well after the stewards although 7fs and heavy ground could easily have been excuses and athough he hasn't run yet the 40/1 would be value on last years run, there's also the possibility that he will be even bigger prices yet as well..

Joeys destiny 40/1 ppower stewards consolation 33/1 general..

Joeys destiny didn't get in at the weights so left in the stewarsds consolation,a race where I could pick easily 8/9 but at the massive prices even though long lay off as mentioned above this could still be the geldings best season, george baker got Belgian bill to run well after a break today as well so stable in form.He still looks one to follow at what will be big prices, wouldn't mind seing a bit of water put down as well as track extremely quick. On last years run with a bit of luck he would've been in or near the places, the obvious picks are the 3 from ruwaayans race my major, secretinthepark and zanetto as that strong form was on this c/d.Ruwaiyn now 14s from the 25s I put up to win the stewards tomorrow as wel, whatever joeys destiny does tomorrow i'll be following at these big prices..l

Swendab

Had a bit of a soft spot for swendab when I put him on here two seasons ago,he's had plenty of racing 67 races in total but as 5 year old showed improvement in that 2013 season to go from a 62 rated horse upto 87 winning 3 times and coming second three times.Todays race he'd fallen to that mark of 62 so is back on lowest lifetime mark again
and although this looked suspect form with waseem farris winning he never wins although he does have ability, the mark of 62 in this grade he now looks extremely well handicapped as when he hits form he usually maintains it as 2013.In 2011 when he hit form he won 3 on the bounce then in 2013 his form figures were 1/2/2/2/1/1 when hitting form he can actually drop 3 grades from todays race and on the fast ground I expect he'll be entered up everywhere over the next month and a half.Quite interesting that 7 of swendabs races have been won in the month of july and august and hopefully he will repeat that history, the slight ? against todays race was that it was a seniors sprint but with whitecrest running third and being in form for a while should hold up..

Set your watch by him, absolutely hacks up won to far really ran brilliant on ground he hated last time out no doubt out every week over the next month, shedful winning on to follows at all sorts of prices be interesting to see how much ability he still retains and if he can win again...

Ginger jack 14/1 lads thirsk summer cup

An unbelievable run from ginger jack 4 days ago at goodwood,he looks like he's improving at 8,this was his best ever run, drawn 18 chasing the pace out wide then entering the straight getting no run to be nearest finish running againsty 100+ horses. If he'd been drawn well and got a run he would've surely been placed at the very least he may have even won,it maybe he took to the c/d and he might just be better back at goodwood, but at 14/1 its worth seeing if that run has taken its toll the prices are massive on that run.Regardless of whether he shows tomorrow or not,he won't go the rest of the season without winning again, this was a massive eyecatching run and by far his best ever run off the mark of 90,i expect him to be heavily backed on this weeks run!!

Dutch descent
Frightened rabbit

An insignificant looking maiden but franked by the runner up maleficent queen hacking up tonight over the same track, this maiden had caught the eye last time out being 1.28 seconds quicker than the following handicap won by west brit winning off 68 on the same card but and was proven to be right.
Dutch descent that night conceding 18 pound to the then debutant actually got a rise of 3 pound for coming third which seems strange but now it maybe that the 4yr old could be well handicapped at least on this sort of ground and on this sort of track, currently on a mark of 70.The maiden even looks better when you see cooper back in 4th,cooper had been 3rd to udodoontu on previous run and that winner hacked up at York this week in 17 runner handicap off 79,mothers first was second in that maiden and contested a listed race today at York also, so there appears to be even more reasons to believe the form is solid.
Frightened rabbit was beaten 8 1/4ls in this race on debut staying on 5ls behind cooper, has an rpr of 53 there could still be improvement to come, the trainer lee smyth runs a few at Hamilton may even return here. There is also the probability of him popping up at swell out of hardspun 29% strike rate on fibresand with an roi of 85%,one of those runners that could be thrown in and forgotten and pop up at a swell meeting when least expected...

Frightened rabbit 16/1 365/victor

Gets to finally come back to venue of debut run,in a handicap runs off 53 with jack garritty taking off another 3 has been running in some strange maidens with horses rated in high 60s and 70s so could've easily blown its mark and run over 6fs which was another strange entry then a run in down royal on gd/fm ground again risking mark against far higher rated horses the more you look at the debut run with first the first 4 the better it looks the race worked out extremely well.Even marital over 13 lengths behind frightened rabbit went to win off 55 on the aw recently, there's definitely a race in the colt off this mark and i'll still be keeoing my eye out for the switch to the fibresand if no show in turf handicaps..

He wins to the write up,different class when he hits form in this grade two in 5 days!!!!
