Derby/ Oaks

It would be great to see them reoppose again in the King George and the Arc, Wouldn't be surprised to see Jack get one back.

Wouldn't go overboard about the form myself. Jack Hobbs achieved little more than he did in the Derby, and those closest to him wouldn't have been at all helped by the steady early pace.
That's not to say JH is a bad horse, just all the talk of improvement and Arc De Triomphes may be overblown on what he's actually achieved.

Means nowt Reet he should be judged on his merits as a progressive horse who is screaming out for another year on his back.

Keep this post in your safe and we'll discuss it ths time next year when he wins everything he goes for

I wouldn't read too much in to yesterday. Fully expected him to get turned over. He's done plenty already this season and they went slow which didn't help. Plus there was a couple of nice ones in the race.

More evidence that the Irish Derby form ain't all that, yesterday?

you spent 2 years trying to find a horse to beat Frankel..using similar logic...the only person i ever came across that never posted one positive comment about the horse...best look for positives really..its more productive

They went slow in the Irish Derby too, so you can't really have your cake and eat it.

they go slow in 80% of G1's though..it only gets mentioned though when someone wants to pull down a performance. Nijinsky won a slow run Derby..i've never heard anyone decry that race becasue of the pace..never once

slow run or not..race still needs winning..i agree that JH did no more than he did at Epsom...and have said i don't understand how it has enhanced anything or got him nearer GH..but he still won with similar superiority to what he had at Epsom over those behind.

now if he had lost.........

They crawled in France. I wouldn't be comparing like for like. I bet the finishing splits were faster in France. Plus I already knew one of them in front was smart.
And like I said, he's already done plenty this season.
