Equine Retirements, Long Term Injuries and Departures

I'm happy he got out in one piece.

His machine like demolition job in the Ryanair when I was on Fakir who finished third won't be forgotten. Happy retirement fella.

His John Hughes Chase win over the Aintree fences as a 5 yo was a revelation; he reminded me of El Gran Senor that day.
Pity he saw so many injuries.
Just been watching it on YouTube -possibly the easiest ever winner over the National fences at the Grand National meeting.

Invincible Spirit has been retired from stud duties at Irish National Stud at age 27.
Sire of 22 Group 1 winners he put the INS back on the map the way Ahonoora did in my formative years.
The stud turned down the opportunity to stand his half brother Kodiac, thinking he had little to add to the roster.
OOps !
