Equine Retirements, Long Term Injuries and Departures

Never really got the love some on here felt for Un Temps Pour Tout, but no doubting he was a grand sort. Takes a good animal to win the Ultima twice, and he was occassionally a class-act over hurdles too. Had his quirks (an endearing quality, imo), and a real shame we won’t be seeing him race again.

Shame too about Moon Racer. Another with no injury luck.

McCain by a distance. A lot less to live up to but has a lot of expensive purchases each year and does nothing with them.

Mini Sensation, who won the Welsh National for JP McManus and Jonjo O’Neill in 2002, has died at McManus’s Martinstown Stud in County Limerick at the age of 26.

Bunk Off Early was working well and on track for a big handicap at one of the festivals but has had another setback and has been retired from racing. I'm assured that he will be found a good home.

Grim viewing with Forest des Aigles today. Looked to break down before the fence but was so close the poor bugger jumped it regardless.

Cue Card left the Tizzard yard this morning to begin the next chapter of his career with Katie Jerram of ROR Showing.
