Explosion On The Tube

Yes, currently keeping an eye on our drivers by their tracker systems.
Looks like the phone system may have been intentionally shut down to prevent them activating more bombs?

Relks & Mrs Relks are fine, luckily, as are my cousin & his wife according to my Mum. They are saying now on Sky News that the army are out on the streets & that people are everywhere as they don't want to get on any buses.

Dim - BBC Breaking News is reporting:

"Swindon and Brighton railway stations evacuated because of security incidents."

(direct quote from the website)

There have been a total of six explosions, one on a bus in Tavistock Place and five on the tube. There are many casualties. The tube system has been totally shut down and many roads in London have ben closed. The emergency services are handling the incident brilliantly as a result of training for such an event. All sorts of rumours are flying around about incidents elsewhere and most or all of them are just that - rumours.

Actually "Because of possible security risks" - not at all the same as an incident. While we don't know anything more, this could be a bag left unattended, which in the light of what is happening would be treated with even more seriousness than usual.

Thanks Dave. Brendan was riding out when I spoke to him this morning. He was going back to the house to find out exactly what was happening. Cancelling the racing seems to be the sensible thing to do.

20 DEAD ACCORDING TO Irish Times.Feel phsically sick.
I'm with you there, Luke. Let's just hope and pray that those who are in a critical state pull through too and that the toll does not escalate. Condolences to all family and friends of the victims, this is a terrible day.

I have to say that for once, I thought Blair was good in his speech, he says he will leave Scotland in the next couple of hours for London.

Reports of more fatalities at Kings Cross. One eye witness from a tube train explosion stated that there were many bodies strewn along the track.

I agree SL, Blair expressed himself very well, and his feelings are the concerns of a whole nation.
These terriosts are the SCUM of the earth.

GROUP CLAIMS ATTACKS

A terror group linked to al Qaeda has claimed it carried out a series of terror attacks on London that have left a number of people dead and hundreds injured.

A previously unknown group calling itself "Secret Organisation al Qaeda in Europe" said it carried out the attacks.

apparently a controlled explosion has been done at a hotel in Coventry just recently, no news on sky or anywhere about it just yet so not confirmed as yet
