My horse Aardvark The Sixth runs in the South American Eider Handicap Chase over 10,000 metres at the Hipodromo Castro on Sunday.

A descendent of former Brocklesby and Norfolk Stakes winner Brondesbury, I'm fairly confident he'll lead them over the first - after that I'm not so sure.

A sad but uplifting story, Paul. As you finished with - RIP Suprise Package.

Rehill Relic goes in the 5.03 at Exeter tomorrow. First time in a handicap and ready to run but will come on for the race.

For the others in my stable:
Orbys River will go chasing subject to schooling. May go to Bangor next week.
Mountain Lake had a busy spring/summer for a 4yo and developed the annoying habit of coming into season when due to run. On a break.

Old favourite, Captain Kangaroo, was being prepared for Galway when he had a hemothorax, a sort of internal bleeding. He recovered but it was cause unknown so, not wanting to risk a repeat, we have found him a good home as a hack.
Apologies for aftertiming but...bingo!

Orbys River goes again at Rasen this afternoon. She was hiked 10lb for the win so we're running with a 7lb penalty today. She seems ok after the Ayr efforts but the ocean of 0-100 novice handicaps is full of sharks and it's a competitive enough race.

Springtime Legend, daughter of the mare I have here has just finished a very close second at Wincanton on ground she wasn't expected to enjoy. She was running the winner down at the end having not jumped the last two as well as her. Owner is thrilled though and hopefully she will win next time. Think the hood they fitted has worked well as if she's anything like her mum, she's quite lively. Mum has spent morning tearing up the paddock as someone was in to put in some new fence posts and as she didn't know him, he had to be dangerous!
