Frost vs Dunne

Don't know what to think..Very happy for Tylicki as the money will make his life that little more comfortable.

At the same time this 4 second is enough for a jockey to make a split second decision over 40meters..are they even quailified to make such a call?

Surely not all jockeys have the response time of the likes of Champion Ryan Moore and to put them all in the same boat is surely wrong?

I'll leave others to judge I really have no real take on this very confusing case.

The writing has been on the wall for Paul Struthers ever since the woefully ill-judged Frost-Dunne press release came out.

I remember him as Silvoir over at Theracingforum many years ago, and he always came across as a decent bloke. I’m sure he will find another role in racing.

I remember him too asa fairly frequent visitor. A gentlaman, and a good man who in one discussuion took time to explain to me why Dream Ahead was on the same rating as Frankel as 2 year olds.
Of course I disagreed with him:D but everyone respected the guy.

I hope he goes on to bigger and better things and no one else feels the backlash of this fiasco.

I was there around that time I can't remember him at all..shows you what I know.

Mind you, I was probably about 20 years old and intoxicated on a few different things. :)

See Maureen Lipman is predicting the death of comedy as we know it.
What a miserable world all this political correctness is foisting upon us.

Who said Barry was weak in a finish? all I said is he wasn't as good as Jonjo or AP which were two of the strongest you could ever hope to see.

Saying someone is similar in the way they present a horse at a fence or have a tendancy to be at the right place at the right time is not comparing their overall abilities.

If anyone is spouting rubbish it's yourself. Suggesting Nico is rubbish....The man has a strike rate of 23% he rides for one of the top 4 trainers in the UK and Ireland

Sure he's no Ruby Walsh but he was entrusted the ride on Sprinter Sacre because of his excellent horsemanship and never put a foot wrong and won 12 races on Altior.

Then your memory really is slipping.

You went out of your way to thank Silvoir (Paul) for his contribution and keeping us informed on the Karl Burke thread.:)

No memory of it at all, Fist. But, of course, that doesn't mean it didn't happen. A lot has gone on in the intervening years and senility could well be sneaking up on me.

How is your health these days?

Feeling much better Colin 2 more months of meds and TB should be gone ...also couldn't get vaccinated before because too weak but got my first pfizer jab this morning..Thanks.

An absolutely superb piece of writing. I am hereby giving AC the horse racing writing award of the year.
