G.B.B in Dublin Sunday morning

Superb day. Pleasure to meet some good racing people from the forum and friends of forum members. Grassy roaring home Hurricane Fly was just annoying.

edgt getting tickets sorted for the upstairs grandstand was a lovely touch. Great day.

Breakfast was bought for the chaps, to ensure good karma for the rest of the day.

It seemed to do the trick too, as comp tickets for Grandstand seats came our way shortly thereafter, courtesy of the generosity of Grey, Edgt, and their pal Paddy. Thanks are also extended to Grey and Frontrunner for doing the driving to/from the track. Also, a little horse called Hurricane Fly apparentlywon one of the races on the card.

Great to meet up with some new faces/old names too - including Slim, his buddy Eamonn, Baldeagle, Chroniclandlord, an capall and others off-forum.

All in all, a top day.

I was shopping in Nottingham but managed to slip into a bookies to watch the race. Glad it worked out so well [and got my ew Ch H bet on Arctic Fire while I was there also].

Great day ,nice to meet up with a few new and old faces , Slim is a real nasty piece of work but his mate is a decent sod. Thought Grassy was going to fall off the grandstand when the fly jumped the last in front, thankfully he had already bought breakfast. As for breakfast Grey managed to find the most creative chef in Dublin, myself and Chronic Landlord didn't know whether to eat it or put a frame round it. Also thanks again to Grey,Edge,Baldeagle and Paddy for the tickets and seats the view was fantastic.

ps. Digger hope you enjoyed work

A fabulous day at Leopardstown. It was great to great to meet up again with Grey, edgt, frontrunner, Paddy and Mark, and to meet Grasshopper,An Cappal, Slim, Baldeagle and Slim's mate Eamonn.

A big thanks to GH for buying the breakfast and to Paddy for providing the tickets.

The racing was top class and the victories for Un de Sceaux and Hurricane Fly were fantastic.

Even though I didn't make the top deck it was a pleasure as always to meet old and new associates from here. Hopefully Hamm and Clivex can make it next year.

A wonderful day.
Great hearty breakfast thanks to Grassy and Art.
After timing the subject of the day, nothing like a bit of aftertiming on a full stomach.
There were two Hurricanes on view, one on track and one on the top tier of the stand.
Ruby was wondering what all the fuss was about post race as he cantered past the stand!
I sincerely hope it becomes a fixture.
Like the Hurricane Slim is much smaller in real life but all there all the same.
Go mbeimid go leir beo ag an am seo aris.
Mile Buiochas.

Well done to Brian (frontrunner) for spotting the opportunity to turn Grassy's trip to Dublin into an occasion.

It was a really enjoyable day thanks to the very good company and some special performances on the track.

Sorry I missed this guys, (Out with my middle boy on his first appearance for the Welsh Academicals rugby team), but I am sure I will catch up with most of you at Cheltenham

Ok but I expect my fare and expenses to be paid in advance. I will however be reasonable and only charge my lower daily rate.

Cant say fairer than that

Can I be both thick and pedantic by asking what G.B.B actually stands for? :)
