No thread for this yet which is disappointing seeing as we had Plate and Hurdle winners by this time last year at this stage.
Missunited Goodwood bound for Cup or Lily Langtry Stakes Thursday 31.
Rain will determine which race.

Pique Sous looks a Galway Hurdle shoe in off 137 given he is rated 105 on flat with Ebor and possible Melbourne Cup engagements to come.

Domination a surprise ( to me anyway) entry for Galway Plate.
Interesting off 141 but has limited chase experience.
Can he do a Grimes ?

If the usual suspects wish to run a Galway/Goodwood competition League of Nations I will put up a 50 Euro prize (to be used ideally as deposit on a share in Apache Gold's half sister foal by Dansant; a strong chesnut filly born in Mid May!)

Dare I mention a Ladweb/Galactic Heroine double in the first two races at Goodwood a week Saturday?
If we get them both there that will be a miracle in itself.

I'm hopeful of him getting a run but agree he'll need a few to come out. Bottom rated in recent years are:

2013 - 133
2012 - 132
2011 - 135
2010 - 132

Can't imagine all nine of the UK horses above him will run (I'd say three or four at most) so will be interesting over the next week - his chance will go if the rain comes though sadly.

An Arkwright double would be the biggest racing story of the year so far IMHO, they'll be going round Brighton with the wheelbarrows if you can pull this coup off!

Checked out Purple Bay's last win at Market Rasen and was blown away by how he quickened up.
He must have a huge chance for the hurdle were he declared.
He would carry top weight, but I still couldn't see him being 16's on the day.

The profile of both Bobby's Heart and Timiyan scream "laid out" today. 3 runs, handicap mark received, thank you very much....ok visor on, handbrake off...let er rip Pat! Of the two, Bobby's Heart looks to have less on his plate as regards opposition.

Elsewhere I have combined up Manhattan Swing, Jamaica, and Call Vinnie. O'briens horses seem to be entering a purple patch and as such I'm keen to be on the side of Jamaica. The other 2 are lazy Weld picks. Doesn't mean they cant prove to be profitable though :)

Bobby's Heart is my nap and will mean a guaranteed loss for me if he's beaten.

Gregorian and Garswood need some cut in the ground to produce their best. Es que Love is a doubtful stayer on my mind, so I think Amarillo is a good bet e/w in the Lennox

I reckon Gregorian has improved this season, and having disposed of Parbold without being asked a serious question, he then ran the race of his life when an unlucky 3rd in the July Cup, and over a trip short of his best.
I'll take my chances that last evening's shower would be enough to level the playing field in his favour.

With Gregorian out, I took 9/2 Amarillo without Garswood.

I presume you mean without Toormore DO?

I'm not buying Garswood's supposed ground requirements. He won the Craven on decent ground. I liked the way he battled at Newmarket when he was isolated somewhat and would have relished more of a battle with Gregorian. Not sure he's a bet though as Toormore looks solid at this level.

:o Yes, w/o Toormore.

Also took 12/5 without Toormore and Garswood.

In Eyre Square for the first time. Let punting Armageddon commence.

€160 @ 15/8 Domination (Galway 5.35)
€125 e/w Maskoon 8/1 (Galway 6.40)

€30 e/w scumbag double
Kopassus 6/1 (Beverley 2.50)
Henson 7/2 (Galway 8.15)

Already had €120 e/w Alderwood 14/1 (Galway Plate)

Hills are 3/1 for Amarillo w/o the front 2, go to the racecard and "Betting Without".
