Galway/ Goodwood Festivals 2014

MIRSAALE is a interesting entry in the 15.40 Goodwood, 2013 Derby runner, (9/12) first run for new trainer Dalgleish, 33/1. Can't see why they think it would get a mile 6 but worth an e/w punt.

The 18/1 Tamadhor e/w with VC is a silly price in the 6.05. I can't get on but it's far too big.

I liked Aupcharlie as a novice chaser, and whilst he perhaps isn't obviously well handicapped, he is relatively lightly-raced and could have some improvement left in him. He just strikes me as maybe having a bit more class than his current OR suggests.

Trip should be fine, and 20/1 big enough to tempt me into a bet in the Plate tomorrow.

He is a bit tripless Grassy?

That aside his price reflects value.

I did consider this, granger, but figured that the Plate trip of 2m6f - being one of those intermediate yokes - might play in his favour. Know what you mean though.

Is in good hands anyway, will know how to jump around. Don't think he would fully get an extended trip but this will be fine.

Touch of Hidden Cyclones about him.

The bottom one interests me and at least one other forum shrewdie

Kakatosi is a good yardstick but seems to be in the grip of the handicapper now, the same can not be said of Oblitereight who showed some class when beating the aformentioned Kakatosi at Lingfield on his sole start in 2013.
George Baker is riding Oblitereight again today.
He is also better off at the weights.
He probably would have needed the previous two runs when weakening out of contention, but the first-time visors will hopefully get him going.
He has a sound each way chance.

Snow Sky (Gordon) chased too strong a pace in the KE7, with the 3 that raced with him finishing strung out like washing, while the 3 that beat him all came from the rear. This easier track and likely more conservative pace should see him last home much better.

If I thought he had a chance in the Derby I must think he can land this too. Good luck, Reet.

Blimey hard to rule any out in the Gordan Stakes.

Looking forward to seeing Rapprochement on friday if given the go ahead. Bit of a hike in class after his winning debut. Could be smart though.
