Springsteen
I'm not an unemployed steel-worker from Pittsburgh, so his lyrics don't really connect with me. Dad-rock for saddos who like 'real' music, wear Wrangler jackets and eat Yorkies. Get a haircut.

REM
Inspid, clever-clever, Californian, art-house wank - still the daddies of the genre.

Bono
Cock.

U2
Stadium-rock, get-over-yourselves, parody of the rock-band they wished they were 20 years ago. Mullen has retained his cool throughout though.

Mozart
Pudding-faced Austrian c*nt.

Clivex's Missus
Comes with a pump and instruction pamphlet.

funniest i've read for a bit

but unfortunately successful, attempt to hoodwink people - me only probably - to back some middle aged Brazilian to win the F1 World Championship.

who was that then ? Ayrton Senna?

Thought he was brown bread

Just don't like his music. At least half of his lyrics must have the same back story as well.

I also find him pretentious (every bit as much as Bono actually). The difference for me is that Bono is in a different league as a performer.

I have seen both: Bono is a pretentious t*** and I would prefer to watch Springsteen 7 days a week and twice on a Sunday, and I am not a huge fan of his either, but it's a no contest between the pair of them. Bono loves himself:Springsteen loves performing.

On Sunday was wishing I was watching the set that Neil Young did a few years back. Saw Fleet Foxes on iplayer; they did seem to encapsulate the spirit of Glastonbury. Annoying that iplayer doesn't show a lot of acts; copwrite reasons perhaps? Sad old hippy that I am would like to have seen Pentangle.
