Two I like at big prices.obviously they aren't guaranteed to stay.

A few on here seem to have their eyes on Patrick Griffin and he has got
ROI MAGE running.finished 3rd in a 3m 3f country race in France.
Back in January he fell early on in the xcountry at Cheltenham.
On friday he finished 2nd at Down Royal over 3m 2f to Longhouse poet.
50/1 nrnb but I think it will be the same come raceday.

MINELLA TRUMP won 10/11 and was 2nd in the other but hasnt run since December 21 so has it had a problem or are they protecting its chase mark of 149.trained by Donald Mc Cain.
He beat HEWICK at Perth getting 2lb.took 66s boosted to 75/1 NRNB

Roi Mage was on my radar last year:

Bugger. Was very hopeful Roi Mage would get in and win the bastartin thing!

But they went for the hurdle race instead rather than wait and see if he got in at the last minute.

The only problem is that he was then rated in the low 140s. He's now 149.

I was already on at 50s, gone in again at the same price (Sky) rather than 40s NRNB with B365, WH or Betfred. I'll end up regretting it if he misses the race.

Velvet Elvis is the tip around Doneraile, home of Darragh O'Keeffe.
He ran well enough behind Any Second Now today to have a chance.
40/1 or thereabouts.

I fear all he has done is awaken a sleeping giant.

He franked the form of Gaillard Du Mesnil something wicked of last year's Irish GN. Elvis weakened over what looked like his limit of stamina (3m5f) conversely GDM giving away 11Lb was doing nothing but stay and we know he does. GDM is only giving Elvis 8LB (3Lb better, plus 5 furlongs) in the GN.

I have a suspicious mind and I think you are heading to Heartbreak hotel, the GN blues, the going isn't an issue cause the grass won't pay no mind. GDM will RUN ON, RIP IT UP, and the rest will return to sender...

I'm more worried that both GDM and VE are 7yos, to be honest.

I was looking forward to GDM for the NH Chase for ages and hammered it, including in very heavy double with CH. While he won the NH chase, he was very unimpressive - arguably lucky - and Townend didn't seem at all happy with the way he gave his fences a lot of daylight and spent a lot of time in the air. He can't afford to do that in the National. There has to be more chance of GDM not turning up at Aintree, at least this time round, given the strength in depth of the trainer's runners.

Non of the above aids Elvis getting 4m2f..

Maybe GDM has been schooled over National type fences...giving plenty of daylight cant be a bad thing, better than jumping them low and brushing through them.

Mullins only has 5 that will get in (3 of them 7 yr olds) and he is arguably the best of that lot Capodanno being the exception..

an 8 yr old and an 11yr old make up the rest..surely the 7 yr olds are coming..
nrnb 12/1...

We won't know for sure until he tries the trip but I do accept that he was weakening late in the Irish National. That run, though, was the reason I backed him ante-post for the Newbury Hennessy (or whatever it's now called) but he didn't come over. I'd assumed then they wanted to preserve his mark.

I'm also concerned that he actually won't turn seven until May (GDM turned seven a week or two back) and I'm not convinced Noble Yeats signalled a sudden new trend in favour of that age group. But I did want VE very much onside.

I did say to the brother on the phone after the NH Chase that I wondered if GDM's jumping was the result of his schooling over National-type fences but he won't be able to afford to lose ground and momentum in the big one. If ratings for the NH Chase are anything to go by, he won't win at Aintree as he was, on Simon Rowlands's figures, 9lbs below form. You don't usually run a pound below form and win a Grand National.

Corach Rambler, by the way, will be a must bet should he run. I'd want BOG and NRNB before committing but he'll be 10lbs well in and I'll be using him to cover all my other bets.

Corach rambler does look the obvious one doesnt he.
Kicking myself for not taking 20s and I was hoping he wouldnt win at Cheltenham.
Gailliard du mesnil does look good but being a 7yr old is still a worry.i agree with DO on that.

I like a spring treble and this year I'm going:

Jimi Hendrix (Lincoln)
Sungjae Im (Masters)
Ain't that a Shame (GN)

Ain't that a Shame (GN)

Could be anything this one.

I'm considering backing him along with last seasons Irish National winner Lord Lariat.

Seems as if Lord's Lariat trainer is leaning towards sending him over for Aintree.

I don't dispute or begrudge Corach Ramblers chance. I missed the bigger prices and I just would rather have stab at something at a bigger price.

Reading through the betting lines via Irish National, GDM is coming to Liverpool..

Bet Victor into 9/1 for GN and that's without nrnb

Won't beat Churchstonewarrior (plot, 4/1 on the day) on revised terms in the Irish National

Churchstone misses the Irish National.

I've backed Mahler Mission in the Irish Nash, and doubled him with Galvin over at Aintree.

No sense in asking me what will win I'd probably say Constitution Hill  But Delta Work showed he has retained alot of his old ability so I will side with him

Would be worried about him on Spring ground, Tanlic.
